Do you want to try energy trading in practice? Are you responsible and willing to go the extra mile for the job and your colleagues? Accelerate your career
The energy market is in constant development. With highly volatile electricity prices, the need for stability in the Danish and European electricity grid has been steadily increasing. We strive to create stability in a volatile electricity market. At EWII Trading we trade on the European wholesale market, where we move physical power from areas with surplus to areas with deficits.
You will be employed in our Short Term & Algo Trading team, where you will have the opportunity to trade on the exchange yourself and gain a unique insight into life as a Trader. EWII Trading consists of a total of 20 employees, including 6 student assistants. We offer a job with a steep learning curve, where you gain a solid basic understanding of the energy industry and what it means to be a Trader. As a student assistant at EWII you thus get the chance to find out whether listed energy traders, complex energy markets and demand flexibility make sense for you and your future career.
Your primary tasks will be
- Trading and monitoring of the physical energy markets
- Monitoring of algorithms
- Monitoring and support of EWII's Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Analysis tasks related to the energy market
You will receive a thorough onboarding from experienced Traders in your tasks, processes and IT systems. As you become comfortable in your tasks, you will gradually take on more responsibility and more independence in your work. You will have the opportunity to get sparring on and test your own analyses in practice.
The position is about 15 hours per week on average. The work mainly takes place at night from 22:00-07:00, as well as at all times of the day on weekends. In the beginning you will need to come to the office in Kolding, and subsequently you will mainly work from home. We anticipate that you are a student pursuing a higher education in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science or similar.
What we offer
As an employee at EWII, it is not only your work that is central – you also get many employee benefits worth working for. You can learn more about which benefits you can enjoy here.
