Are you looking for a flexible student job where you work with communication, campaigns and events? And would you like to be part of a humorous and versatile department at UC SYD? Then it might be you we are looking for.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a student assistant who will help us with primarily two types of communication tasks:

  • Website - It is not a requirement that you already know how to edit and understand websites, but you should certainly be curious to learn new digital systems. With thorough training, we actually expect that you, for the most part, will be able to make most small corrections that are continuously on a professional website like UC SYD's. Especially right now this part of the task is in high demand as we are about to launch a completely new website. You will therefore need to learn two web systems, but don't worry, it's not difficult, so you can do it. In addition to working on the website, you will also be trained in other exciting digital solutions.
  • SoMe - The secondary task is that occasionally we need to create some various stories on our social media. Therefore it is an advantage that you are already comfortable with social media, but also want to explore the professional use of them and be willing to appear in front of the camera.

About you

You are engaged, structured, reliable and good at both independent work and collaboration. You are approachable, curious and have ease with dialogue with both colleagues and external partners. It is a requirement that you have a driving license, as we sometimes need to work at other locations than the campus you are currently attached to.

About the job

We offer an exciting student job with varied tasks and flexible working hours spread across the week. A very large part of the work you will be able to do from home via the computer you will be issued by UC SYD, but we would also very much like it if you could come and work from campus once a week. You will on average have 5-10 hours per week. Maybe in periods even more if you are up for it, and it does not affect your studies. Your primary workplace will be Campus Esbjerg or Campus Aabenraa.

As mentioned, you must have a driving license, but you do not need your own car, as when you are in UC SYD's service you can drive in our incredibly nice UC SYD cars.

About the department

You become part of the communications department with eight employees and a communications manager. We work broadly with communication, marketing, press, graphics and internal activities and help each other when it's busy. You will have colleagues on several campuses and become part of an informal, busy and social working environment focusing on collaboration and community.

Salary and start

You will be employed in Communications with reference to the head of communications. Compensation is on student terms, and your employment is conditional on you being an active student at UC SYD.

How to apply

Applications and relevant documents are sent via our electronic recruitment system no later than 18 October 2026

Recruitment interviews are expected to be held in week 43.

If you think the position sounds exciting but still have a few questions before you send your application, do not hesitate to contact our web manager Nanna Uhrenholt Sørensen at tel. 7266 3081 to hear about the job.
