About the job

Study job in Bedst for Os – are you one of our new student workers?

Are you passionate about child and adolescent psychiatry, research and development – and do you want to help create better coherence for children, youths and their families? Then you may be one of our new student assistants in the Center for Recovery and Co-creation.

We are looking for three student assistants for the research and development project Bedst for Os. Two of the positions are linked to the work with the PRO tool Min Trivsel, while the third position is linked to Familiens Team.

Although the daily tasks differ, you will be part of a common student assistant team where we help each other and can cover for each other in cases such as illness, holidays and exam periods.

About Bedst for Os

When a child or a young person is distressed to a degree that requires treatment, it affects the whole family. In Bedst for Os we work to develop more coherent and inclusive pathways in child and adolescent psychiatry – with the family as an active part of the solution.

You will be attached to work package 2, which develops and tests new ways of collaborating with families. The work includes among other things Familiens Team – a collaborative model intended to strengthen the cooperation around the family – as well as Min Trivsel, a patient-reported questionnaire (PRO), aimed at giving children and young people a clearer voice in their own treatment process.

Two task tracks – one common team

We are looking for

  • Two student assistants for PRO Min Trivsel
  • One student assistant for Familiens Team

The three positions thus have different primary tasks, but you will be part of the same team and will gain insight into the project’s overall work.

Two student assistants for PRO Min Trivsel

As a student assistant on the PRO part, your primary task will be to support the ongoing recruitment of families to the research project.

You will take as your starting point a continuously updated patient list and contact relevant families by telephone to inform the parents about the project and support them in deciding on participation on an informed basis.

Your tasks will include among others

  • review the provided patient list and identify families to be contacted
  • contact parents by telephone and inform them about the project
  • use a fixed information and conversation structure so that families receive consistent information
  • answer common questions about the project’s purpose, participation and practical matters
  • inform about the further consent procedure, including that consent is sent via e-Boks
  • document contact attempts, the outcome of the contact and consent status
  • follow up with families where contact could not be established on the first attempt
  • contribute to maintaining an ongoing overview of recruitment status
  • forward questions or issues beyond your task and competence to the project group.

You thereby play an important role in creating a good and safe first contact with the families and in ensuring that recruitment to the project is carried out in a structured and respectful manner.

You will not have responsibility for clinical assessment or treatment. Clinical questions and other inquiries requiring health professional assessment will be forwarded to relevant staff.

Student assistant for Familiens Team

As a student assistant on Familiens Team you will be part of the work to develop and test a new collaborative model around children, youths and their families.

Your concrete tasks will be related to the practical support of Familiens Team and can include coordination, contact with families and partners, documentation and other tasks that support the project’s implementation.

You will receive a thorough introduction to both the project, Familiens Team and your concrete tasks.

The community you will be part of

In Center for Recovery og Samskabelse you will become part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers, development consultants and process people who are passionate about developing psychiatry with – not for – patients and their relatives.

As a student assistant you will also be part of a small, shared student assistant team. We emphasize that you get to know each other, can brainstorm and help each other. Although your primary tasks are different, we therefore expect you to want to be part of a shared working community and to be able to cover for each other to some extent.

We value psychological safety, professionalism and flexibility, and we carry out tasks together – whether we sit together in the Psychiatric House in Saxogade or work from home.

About you

You are currently pursuing, or about to start, a master’s degree. This could be in health sciences, medicine, psychology, public health, social sciences or another relevant field.

For the PRO role it is an advantage if you have an interest in research, health and communication with children, youths and families. Experience with telephone contact, recruitment or research is an advantage but not a requirement. Knowledge of REDCap is also an advantage.

But the most important is that you

  • can communicate clearly, respectfully and welcomingly
  • can establish a safe contact with families over the phone
  • work independently, structured and systematic
  • are careful with documentation and registration
  • take responsibility for your tasks and follow them through
  • are curious and eager to learn
  • can handle confidential information and work according to established procedures
  • want to join a common team and help your colleagues.

We offer

You will get a study job where you come close to both research, development and practice in child and adolescent psychiatry.

You will receive

  • experience with research and development work in practice
  • insight into the work with children, youths and families in psychiatry
  • experience with recruitment, communication and consent
  • introduction and training in your concrete tasks
  • ongoing sparring with the project group
  • an opportunity to gain insight into co-creation, PRO and development of new collaboration forms in psychiatry
  • a flexible study job that can be adapted to your studies.

Does this sound like something for you?

We look forward to hearing from you!

Your workspace will be in Psychiatry House in Saxogade – in the heart of Aalborg. There will be opportunities for home working by agreement.

Application deadline: 02/11-2026
