About the job
A good team with ambitious goals
At Kyocera Unimerco we respond to the challenges and opportunities of globalization by continuously adapting. To ensure positive development we must align ourselves with new requirements and conditions and be prepared for future challenges. New markets, new technology and new products provide a number of exciting opportunities - as long as you are adaptable to change and willing to learn new things.
We strive to continuously improve to stay competitive. It requires that we invest and renew ourselves, but the most essential condition is that we have the best, most competent and flexible employees. Therefore we constantly focus on strengthening the team with new profiles who can raise the level further and are willing to go the extra mile so that we together can achieve even better results.
At Kyocera Unimerco you will become part of an international group founded in 1964. Since 2011 the company has been part of the global conglomerate Kyocera, which today employs more than 80,000 people worldwide across different product areas. At Kyocera Unimerco there are about 770 employees employed across 14 companies in Denmark and abroad. Of these, about half work at the head office in Sunds near Herning. Production in Denmark employs about 150 skilled workers on salaried terms, while there is also production in Germany, Lithuania, England and the USA.
About you
You are about to begin your last semester of the professional bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and therefore you can start a bachelor internship with us at the end of August or beginning of September 2024.
We have good experience with you being physically present at the company as much as possible during the program, and it is also expected that you work full-time at the company during the development of the project.
Your bachelor internship program
We are accustomed to having mechanical engineering students in bachelor internship programs, so you can expect a good and exciting as well as tested program, where you both get room to maneuver and freedom to work on your project as well as dedicated professional sparring from your mentor, who themselves is educated as a mechanical engineer.
We work continuously and daily with various optimization processes to create improvements, particularly energy optimization.
The potential to raise our processes to an even higher level is greater than what we have seen so far. We are therefore open to your project’s final main theme and give you the opportunity to come up with ideas and proposals for the project within one of the following areas:
- Implementation of new technology.
- Energy optimization.
- Process optimization.
- Waste optimization.
- Production optimization.
- Quality assurance system
The project therefore has the following keywords
- Identify a process/technology with high optimization potential.
- Demonstrate through experiments what saving/improvement can be achieved.
- Demonstrate through experiments what consequences it has for the process.
- Create a project plan, investment calculation, payback analysis and similar.
- If possible, implement the solution and document the saving/improvement.
