About the job

Would you like to help plan and implement renovation and maintenance projects in one of Denmark's most complex municipal property portfolios? We are seeking an experienced and technically strong subject-matter coordinator with a building technical background for Property Services and Operations in the City of Frederiksberg.

The position as Technical Coordinator

We are looking for a new colleague for our operations team which consists of 21 employees, of which 19 are technical advisers and operations consultants, who together ensure the coordination and implementation of energy, renovation and maintenance projects as well as the daily operation and service of the municipal property portfolio. We handle project, client, controller and executor functions and work with an annual total budget of more than DKK 100 million.

Our property portfolio includes, among others, schools, early childhood institutions, cultural institutions, swimming pools, care centers and residential buildings spread over approximately 490,000 m².

The role as Technical Coordinator is for you who thrive at the intersection of project management, coordination and professional sparring, and who are motivated by being the technical lighthouse in complex maintenance and renovation projects. The position is located in the half of the team that has its primary focus on the climate envelope of our properties.

As Technical Coordinator you will play a central role in planning, coordinating and carrying out projects across Frederiksberg Municipality's extensive property portfolio. As the technical lighthouse and project leader you ensure progress, quality and coordination across advisers, contractors, users and internal stakeholders while contributing to the strategic development and maintenance of the municipality's properties.

Since many projects are carried out in buildings with ongoing operation and user activity, the ability to create overview, coordinate complex processes and navigate between many different considerations is crucial for success in the role.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Project management of renovation and maintenance projects from qualification to handover
  • Technical coordination across projects, advisers, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring progress, quality, economy and schedules
  • Function as the technical lighthouse and sparring partner within maintenance projects and building operation
  • Support the development of strategic maintenance and long-term planning
  • Contribute to the development and use of maintenance data and data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure coherence between technical solutions, user needs and the municipality's overall strategy

We imagine that you

  • Have solid experience with project management and coordination of building, renovation or maintenance projects
  • Have a building-technical background such as building constructor or engineer
  • Thrive on creating progress and quality in complex projects
  • Are motivated by being the technical key person and sparring partner for colleagues in their projects
  • Have a good understanding of user processes and user needs and can provide our users and tenants with the best possible service
  • Have an interest in strategic maintenance and the use of maintenance data
  • Are positive, approachable and eager to join a team

Your experience could come from a municipality, region, consulting company, housing association or similar organization with responsibility for operation and maintenance of larger property portfolios.

You are the technical key person who ensures that projects are carried out professionally and with high quality within the agreed time and budget limits. At the same time you function as sparring partner for both internal colleagues and external stakeholders and contribute to ensuring a coherent and long-term approach to maintaining the municipality's properties.

You work structured with planning, coordination and follow-up and are able to create oversight and progress in complex projects with many stakeholders. At the same time you are relationship-building, constructive and thrive on navigating between different professional areas and organizational levels, where you naturally take on the role of the technical lighthouse power.

We offer a developing job in a workplace with a good social and professional environment. The tone is informal and characterized by humor and helpfulness, and we prioritize developing and helping each other so that we as a team become better and thrive together. You get significant influence over shaping your workday with flexible hours and the possibility of home working. We offer a challenging job with broad contact surfaces and exciting and varied tasks.

Our unit is in continuous development, with a focus on communication, user service and personal efficiency. We also have a strong focus on maintenance data, financial management as well as process optimization and execution.
