Subject-matter Project Manager for the Danish Road Directorate's Department for Land Acquisition

” We are 40 professionally strong colleagues in the department of land acquisition, so there is always good energy in a professional discussion. We participate in the project work for all large road developments in Denmark. We have control of the legislation and we communicate both internally and externally. When you have gone through thorough on-the-job training, you will take responsibility for your own land acquisition projects,” tells Hanne Øster, area manager for Area and Geodata.

The Danish Road Directorate is realizing a comprehensive infrastructure plan these years, which extends many years into the future. It includes among other things expansion of existing motorways and construction of new road sections, which should take place with as much regard to the surroundings as possible. This means there is a large coordination work in relation to archaeological surveys, laying out replacement nature, and as far as possible with regard to those who live in the area. We acquire land and rights through expropriation.

Your tasks

As a subject/project manager you will get varied tasks and your work will include among other things:

• direct contact with neighbors and landowners at public meetings, expropriation proceedings and meetings at the landowners
• case processing at a high professional level and in easily understandable language
• coordination of the tasks on the projects you are responsible for
• cooperation with colleagues and external partners on nature, environment, archaeology, property law, neighbor relations and much more

Your profile

We imagine that you have an education as a land surveyor, agronomist, lawyer, geographer or other relevant education, and that you have experience with area- and rights acquisitions.

Land acquisition is distributed in two departments for the large and the smaller installations. We are a total of 70 employees with strong competencies within land- and rights acquisition.

You will become part of an organization where flexibility, professional development and work-life balance are high on the agenda. There will be the possibility of weekly work-from-home days when it fits into the task solving and sparring between colleagues.

Your salary and employment terms

You will be employed and paid under the applicable state collective agreement. As an academic you are employed according to the then applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state. You are placed on the basis of academic seniority (basic step 1-8) cf. the applicable AC agreement.

Depending on your seniority and professional qualifications you may be appointed as senior consultant cf. AC agreement's appendix 4 . In that case you will be placed as senior consultant lower step. You can see the base salary steps on page 31 in State salary overview.

In addition to base salary there is the possibility to negotiate an individual qualification supplement depending on experience and qualifications. There will be attached a pension scheme of 18.07%.

The Danish Road Directorate is an agency under the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Affairs. You should expect some travel activity, as we solve tasks all over the country.

The employment is conditional on you having a valid driver's license (category B).
