About the job

Healthcare Instructor for SOSU Syd

Would you like to use your healthcare professional experience to develop competencies among employees in the health care system of the future?

Are you a nurse or a social- and health care assistant, and do you have experience from the municipal and/or psychiatric sector and solid experience with people with dementia? Then you may be the person we are looking for as our new colleague.

Become part of our learning community

Team SOSU is seeking a healthcare instructor for our learning community within continuing education. We plan, carry out and develop education for both skilled workers and non-skilled employees within the welfare sector.

As an instructor you will become part of a professionally strong team of 23 engaged instructors. We have high ambitions for both professional and didactic quality. We work in a practical manner, and we use simulation and technology as a natural part of the teaching.

We are organized into four professional learning communities, where we work together with learning, development and quality. We believe that we become better when we share our knowledge, challenge each other and develop our teaching together.

With us you also get a large degree of influence over your teaching. You plan and carry out your teaching programs independently, with opportunities for sparring and support from your colleagues.

What will you work with?

As an instructor in continuing education, you must translate your healthcare experience and practical knowledge into learning that makes sense for the participants and can be directly used in their daily life.

You will among other things

  • plan, implement and evaluate teaching for a broad target group
  • teach both skilled workers and non-skilled employees
  • link theory and practice and create teaching close to the participants’ everyday life
  • apply simulation and digital technologies as part of the teaching
  • contribute to developing our programs and teaching methods
  • collaborate with colleagues on professional and didactic development
  • teach both at the school and in practice. There will therefore be travel involved.

You do not need to know it all from the start. The most important thing is that you want to develop as a teacher and are curious about new ways to create learning.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • are educated as a nurse or social- and health care assistant
  • have at least five years of broad professional experience
  • have solid experience with people with dementia
  • have relevant experience from the municipal and/or psychiatric sector
  • have updated healthcare knowledge and can translate your practical experience into engaging teaching
  • want to teach participants with different ages, experiences and professional prerequisites
  • have a positive and engaged approach to your tasks
  • are motivated by creating learning and by professional collaboration with your colleagues
  • want to work within the municipal and psychiatric area and are willing to try new methods
  • have a knack for IT and a desire to use digital technologies in teaching
  • have or are prepared to undertake a Diploma in Vocational Education (erhvervspædagogisk diplomuddannelse).

Teaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

With us you will get

  • a varied and exciting daily life with a lot of independence
  • the opportunity to influence the professional, didactic and pedagogical direction of the teaching
  • a professionally strong team where we share knowledge and help each other
  • the opportunity to develop your skills as an instructor
  • an workplace that values humor, diversity and professional curiosity
  • the possibility of flexibility in planning the work, including the possibility of working from home when the task allows it.
  • the tasks may be unevenly distributed throughout the year, and there may be a need for flexible scheduling of working hours
  • an workplace where community and physical presence are still highly valued.
