Supply Chain Analyst

Banedanmark is in full swing with a historic upgrade of the entire Danish rail network. We are building and renewing while implementing a new IT-based signaling system and electrifying the railway so that climate-friendly electric trains can run.

In the Procurement and Planning section we play an important role in achieving Banedanmark's overall objective. This is a newly created position where you will have great influence on how we improve delivery reliability and optimize material flow and processes so construction and maintenance tasks can be completed on time on a railway in historic upgrading.

Forecasting, planning and optimization

The role will be new, and for the right candidate the job and responsibilities will take shape along the journey. You will join the section's Planning Team.

Your and the team's task will be to ensure that forecasts are prepared as the basis for timely procurement and deliveries for construction and maintenance tasks.

The team also has an important task in developing forecasts and proposals for optimal purchase quantities and frequencies in relation to delivery times, inventory binding and ongoing optimization and sale of stocked materials. Together you must ensure a well-defined Governance in the planning area and act proactively in relation to the rest of the business so deadlines and goals are met.

Your main tasks include, among others

• Gather and coordinate forecast input from relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Forecast calculation and consolidation in connection with procurement and tendering
• Consolidation of requisitions for critical components
• Develop processes in collaboration with the section and its partners
• During peak periods, support construction projects

Who are you?

We need someone who has worked in a planning role at a larger manufacturing company, where materials come from international suppliers.

You have a solid background, experience and competencies gained from working with Supply Chain planning and experience with choosing the right analytical methods, planning models and priorities. You will need to use your logical approach, analytical abilities, and proven S&OP toolbox in working to create an overview and predictable plans that reflect the strategic plans and goals.

As a person you are interested in strong relationships and have an open approach to colleagues and tasks. You should thrive in working independently and making decisions within the authority you have been given. You should also be able to handle difficult situations in a constructive way, where the solution and Banedanmark's interests always come first.

Therefore it is crucial that you have a solid toolbox and a natural interest in building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You have a relevant education, for example a HD 1 & 2 and in-depth knowledge of SCM theories, and particularly forecasting, prognoses, and analytical methods. You have a good understanding of and interest in numbers and larger data sets, and are able to produce useful forecasts.

Furthermore, you are a clear communicator, and good at presenting messages and results in MS Word and PowerPoint.

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a range of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed based on academic seniority and experience as a full-time employee at the basic level according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Authority's salary overview, which you can find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiation of supplements. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme at 18.07%.
