Supply Chain Analyst

Banedanmark is in the midst of a historic upgrade of the entire Danish railway network. We are building and renewing, while implementing a new IT-based signaling system and electrifying the railway so that climate-friendly electric trains can run.

In the Procurement and Planning section we have an important role in achieving Banedanmark's overall objectives. This is a newly created position where you will have a strong influence on how we improve supply reliability and optimize material flow and processes so that construction and maintenance tasks can be completed on time on a railway undergoing a historic upgrade.

Forecasting, planning and optimization

The role will be new, and for the right candidate the job and responsibilities will take shape as we progress. You will join the section's Planning Team.

Your and the team’s task will be to ensure that forecasts are prepared as the basis for timely procurement and delivery to construction and maintenance tasks.

The team also has an important task in preparing forecasts and proposals for optimal procurement quantities and frequencies in relation to lead times, inventory carrying costs and ongoing optimization and sale of stocked materials. Together you will ensure a well-defined governance in the planning area and act proactively in relation to the rest of the business, so deadlines and targets are met.

Your main tasks include, among others

• Obtain and coordinate forecast input from relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Forecast calculation and consolidation in connection with procurement and tendering
• Consolidation of requirements for critical components
• Develop processes in collaboration with the section and its partners
• In peak periods, support construction projects

Who are you?

We need someone who has worked in a planning role at a larger manufacturing company, where materials come from international suppliers, among others.

You have a solid background, experience and competencies gained in working with Supply Chain planning and experience with choosing the right analytical methods, planning models and priorities. You will need to use your logical approach, analytical abilities, and a proven S&OP toolkit in creating an overview and predictable plans that reflect the strategic plans and goals.

As a person you are interested in strong relationships and have an open approach to colleagues and tasks. You should thrive working independently and making decisions within the powers you have been given. You should also be able to handle difficult situations in a constructive way, where the solution and Banedanmark's interests always come first.

It is therefore essential that you have a solid toolkit and a natural interest in building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You have a relevant education, for example a HD 1 & 2 and extensive knowledge of SCM theories, and in particular forecasting, projections, and analytical methods. You have a good understanding and interest in numbers and larger data sets, and are capable of producing useful forecasts.

In addition, you are a clear communicator and good at presenting messages and results in MS Word and PowerPoint.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed under the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed on the basis of academic seniority and experience as a cadet at the basic level according to the applicable agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Authority's salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is the possibility of negotiating a supplement. There will be an employer-financed pension scheme of 18.07%.
