About the job

Do you want to actively participate in pedagogical practice, guide the professionals around the children and create development through shared reflection?

Then it’s you we are looking for. We are expanding and therefore seeking a support pedagogue for our fantastic team in Area Amager.

In the City of Copenhagen we work purposefully to create learning environments and communities that 'can do more for more'!

About the position

As a support pedagogue you work in day-care institutions and KKFOs. You are involved in practice, support staff in developing inclusive learning environments and contribute to reflection, structure and a sense of belonging in everyday life.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team with about 28 support pedagogues, four competence pedagogues, two physiotherapists and an occupational therapist. Together we collaborate with psychologists, speech and hearing consultants, health visitors, consultants and supervisors to best support children, staff and institutions in succeeding with creating diverse child communities.

Your main tasks

  • Support concrete initiatives and function as a role model in practice.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive and motivating learning environments.
  • Support early and preventive efforts – for both individual children and groups of children.
  • Actively participate in collaboration with managers, parents and pedagogues.

About you

  • You are a trained pedagogue with several years of day-care experience.
  • You are professionally strong, trust-building and good at creating an overview.
  • You work systematically, communicate clearly – and can guide pedagogical staff to reflect on their own and shared practice.

We offer

We offer an exciting job in a strong multidisciplinary environment with engaged colleagues and a good working environment. You will become part of a field of work characterized by development and co-creation, where we find solutions together and take responsibility individually.

We work based on the Safety Circle and we are all trained 'Play Captains'. Everyone participates in regular supervision, collegial sparring and relevant courses and continuing education.

Terms of employment

The position is a permanent appointment from January 1, 2027 – preferably earlier. The position is, as a rule, 37 hours per week. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation.
