Sweet, young woman seeks an experienced pedagogue 25 hours per month

20-year-old young woman seeks a skilled companion (pedagogue).

About the citizen

The citizen has a disability that means she is not cognitively age-appropriate. She has fine speech and can express her own wishes and needs. Physically she can manage much of herself but needs you to guide her and possibly lend a helping hand.

The citizen is motorically challenged by having cerebral palsy, as evidenced by left-sided paralysis in the body. She has walking ability, but typically uses a wheelchair on outings. It has a powered assist, but must be pushed by the companion. Up and down stairs and on uneven terrain she needs a supporting arm/hand.

The citizen currently lives with her father, but will move to a residential facility on Frederiksberg, at the end of September / start of October.

About the assignment

The citizen is granted 25 hours per month for companionship to self-chosen activities outside the home.

The hours are to be used so the citizen can have many good experiences outside the home.

She would like to go to the swimming pool. She can manage most of the dressing herself, but needs a helping hand for this, as well as a supportive hand out to the pool. She can wash herself if she can sit on a bathing chair.

Otherwise she would like, for example, a trip to a cafe and to play a game of Uno and have a cup of hot cocoa.

The citizen loves to go on trips and has many ideas about what she would like to do.

She requests companionship on weekday afternoons from 15:30, when she finishes at her day program - and occasional weekends. About 2 times per week, 3-6 hours per session.

We use public transport on the outings.

Agreements are made with the citizen and her mother, who is guardian.
