About the job

Do you want to be the one who makes citizen pathways, professionalism, and daily operations fit together? And do you thrive in a role where you must be able to maintain an overview, prioritise and find solutions when the day doesn’t go exactly as planned?

Then you could be the nurse we are looking for to our disponent group in District Assentoft/Paderup.

We are looking for a nurse for a permanent disponent position, who together with our other nurse-disponent will share central responsibility for the daily allocation, weekend allocations and the district’s on-call phone.

You will become part of a strong disponent group and have close collaboration with the other daytime disponent, our evening disponent, the on-call planner, the interdisciplinary teams and district management.

The position is initially on 37 hours per week, but another number of hours can be agreed . You will primarily work day shifts and not on weekends. Meeting times are every weekday between 6:00 and 6:30 . However, a few holidays can be expected, distributed among the district’s three disponents.

Commencement 1 December 2026 or upon agreement.

A key role in a developing home care service

In District Assentoft/Paderup we work purposefully with the implementation of the Older Americans Act, holistic care and the new care and nursing pathways, while our daily work still includes tasks and citizen pathways under the Health Act, the Service Act and the Older Americans Act.

This places new demands on how we plan and coordinate.

Holistic care focuses among other things on cohesive and coordinated citizen pathways, flexibility around the citizen’s current needs and as much continuity as possible around the individual citizen.

Here the disponents play a central role.

For us, allocation is therefore not only about making today’s routes add up. It is about creating good and cohesive citizen pathways across professional disciplines, competencies, legislation and resources – with a view to both quality, continuity and sustainable operation.

About the job

As a disponent you are a key person in daily operations and act as a link between citizens’ needs, employees’ competencies and the resources we have available.

You and the other nurse-disponent share the responsibility for day and weekend allocation as well as the on-call phone on all weekdays .

You must ensure that the day’s tasks fit together – both when the plan holds and when it changes due to illness, acute citizen needs, hospital discharges or other changes in operations.

At the same time you must be able to lift your gaze from the acute operations and work systematically with good core routes, continuity and cohesive citizen pathways.

Routes are planned based on citizens’ needs and employees’ competencies with a holistic approach and focus on as few different employees as possible around each citizen.

Your tasks will include

  • daily allocation and coordination of the district’s day routes
  • planning and allocation of weekend routes
  • handling the district’s on-call phone on weekdays together with your disponent colleague
  • preparation, adjustment and ongoing optimization of core routes
  • planning with focus on citizens’ needs, employees’ competencies and maximum continuity
  • handling acute illness, absence and changes in daily operations
  • planning for acute tasks, new citizens and changed citizen pathways
  • coordination in connection with hospital discharges
  • prioritising tasks when there are capacity challenges
  • close collaboration with the district’s interdisciplinary teams and management
  • contact and coordination with, among others, admissions, assessment unit, hospitals, housing destinations and other partners
  • ongoing focus on the coherence between professional quality, continuity, resources, economy and the work environment.

The role therefore entails both acute problem-solving and more long-term planning.

You must be able to navigate in complexity

There will be days when the phone rings while an employee calls in sick, a citizen is discharged acutely from the hospital, and several routes must be changed.

Therefore we are looking for you who can create a new plan when reality changes.

You must be able to prioritise and make decisions when not all wishes can be accommodated at the same time, and you must be able to balance consideration for the citizen with professional quality, employees’ competencies, the work environment and the resources we have available.

This is a role with great responsibility and at the same time an opportunity to have real influence on how daily life and citizen pathways are planned.

Who are you?

You are a licensed nurse with a solid professional foundation.

Experience from home care, municipal nursing, allocation or another coordinating function is an advantage, but the most important is that you have the desire and ability to work with coordination, planning and professional prioritisation .

We envision that you

  • have a strong overview and work in a structured and systematic way
  • can handle many simultaneous tasks without losing direction
  • have a view of the whole citizen’s journey – not just the individual task
  • think in continuity and coherence around the citizen
  • understand the importance of matching tasks with the right professional competencies
  • dare to prioritise and stand by your decisions
  • are clear and proper in your communication
  • are solution-oriented, flexible and adaptable
  • thrive with close collaboration across professional groups
  • have an interest in operations and understand that professional quality and good resource use must go hand in hand.

You must be able to navigate the cross-pressure that can arise between the citizen’s wishes and needs, professional assessments, staff resources and economy.

Knowledge of Nexus, including the calendar and allocation functions, is an advantage but not a requirement. We will provide a thorough introduction.

We emphasise that there is a clear link between day, evening, weekend and long-term on-call planning. Therefore you will have close collaboration with both disponent colleagues and on-call planners.

You will also become part of a large interdisciplinary district with social and health helpers, social and health assistants, nurses, therapists, on-call planners, disponents and management.
