About the job
Would you like to be a nurse in a place where relationships matter? Where you follow patients through their entire journey, not just a single admission?
We are seeking two nurses for joint positions in the lymphoid team in Hematology with start on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
With us you get a daily life with variety, high professionalism and close patient contact. Your working hours are distributed between the clinic and the inpatient ward, where you follow the patients from assessment and start of treatment to follow-up – and in some cases also palliative care. The positions are, as a rule, 37 hours per week.
A specialty with depth and coherence in patient pathways
Hematology is a highly specialized department that diagnoses and treats both benign and malignant hematologic diseases in blood, bone marrow and the lymphatic system.
Clinic 1 and 2 handle outpatient pathways from diagnostics to longer-term treatment and follow-up. Here we work with medical cancer treatment, immunotherapy, transfusions and supportive care. In addition, the West Danish Center for Bleeding Disorders is also part of the department with the Clinic for Hematology.
The inpatient ward has 33 beds, organized into two teams, where one primarily handles patients with lymphoma, while the other focuses on patients with leukemia and myelomatosis. We also have two young patient rooms for patients between 18 and 29 years, which contribute with a special dynamic in daily life.
We work with patients in all disease stages, and the pathways are often both complex and long-term. This requires high professional standards and the ability to build and maintain relationships over time. The department is characterized by a high patient flow and receives both acute and planned patients.
A daily life with both responsibility, development and a sense of community
In the joint position you will work both in the clinic and in the inpatient ward, which provides variation in tasks and a unique opportunity to follow patients closely through their entire course.
We work with assigned patient care and in pairs, because continuity is important, for both patients and the quality of nursing. The collaboration is close, both mono- and multidisciplinary, and we emphasize actively involving patients and relatives.
We offer
- a structured and individually tailored introduction program in paired work
- an introduction app (Guide) that supports your onboarding in both the professional and practical aspects
- competence development in, among others, intravenous treatment, medical cancer treatment and various catheter care
- course in Medical Cancer Treatment
- an educational program focused on hematologic diseases and nursing.
You will become part of an engaged group of colleagues with high professionalism and a strong sense of community. The work environment is characterized by openness, respect and an informal tone, where there is room for both professional ambitions, smiles and good humor, as well as care for one another.
We think you fit well with us if you
- enjoy working both in clinic and inpatient ward
- are interested in or have experience with medical cancer treatment
- can work independently but never forget to use your colleagues
- thrive in a specialty where patient pathways are complex and long-lasting
- meet patients and relatives with calmness, presence and respect
- can maintain an overview, even when pace is high
- want to be part of a community - not just a schedule.
The position is part of a duty roster with seven shifts over six weeks and a weekend shift every 3 weekends.
Practical
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory police certificate and a satisfactory professional authorization.
