About the job

Spend Christmas in Paamiut!

We are looking for a nurse from 23 November 2026 or by agreement for 2-3 months.

We have an ongoing need for nurses, so if you can start in 2027, we can arrange that as well.

Paamiut has about 1,250 inhabitants. In the health centre there are 3-4 nurses, 1 doctor, 2 medical students, 1 physiotherapist, health assistants, interpreters, porters and cleaning staff.

Queen Margrethe’s Health Centre is part of the Sermersooq Health Region, where Queen Ingrids Health Centre in Nuuk is the largest.

The health centre's task is to provide health promotion, prevention, examination and treatment. Some tasks are carried out by support staff who are specially trained in e.g. X-ray, planned blood tests, etc. As a nurse you handle consultation and accident-and-emergency work, just as you handle work with admitted patients in the ward and pharmaceutical functions.

As a nurse in Paamiut you have 7-10 on-call shifts per month, where you are on call from home from 16:00 - 08:00. We have hired 2 medical students who, on rotation, have day shifts on weekends, so the on-duty nurse has a better opportunity to rest.

There are good, engaged colleagues. And this is a varied and very exciting job with good opportunities for development - both personally and professionally.

We are seeking nurses who

  • Have broad experience, and preferably emergency/acute experience
  • Can work independently
  • Have good collaboration skills and are flexible
  • Like new challenges

We offer

  • Introduction and sparring with the other nurses and the doctor employed at the health centre
  • Many different and exciting challenges
  • Allowance for a full Diploma in advanced practice nursing
  • Stunning nature
