We are seeking several night nurses for the municipal home care in Svendborg Municipality. Are you ready to take responsibility for the citizens while the rest of the city is asleep? Then you are the one we are looking for.

Short about the positions

• 37 hours per week in night shifts with work every second weekend
• We are flexible regarding hours and will, as far as possible, accommodate your wishes
• Starting as soon as possible or no later than 1 January 2027.

As part of the Health Reform, some nursing tasks are transferring to the region. This means we need to expand our nursing coverage at night, which brings new and exciting tasks. You will influence nursing where professionalism, clinical leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration and the citizen's needs are central.

About us

The municipal nursing service in consists of 35 nurses with different ages, experience and competencies. We are a well-functioning team with broad and high professional expertise, where collaboration, sparring and solidarity play a big role.

We take the whole person as the starting point and always have the citizen's needs, wishes and possibilities in mind. The values are not just words to us. Your daily life in the night shift

You will have close collaboration with colleagues in home care and at the nursing homes: social and health care assistants, social and health helpers and unskilled colleagues.

In the night shift there are two municipal nurses on duty together with a mobile night team of five staff. In addition, there are two night shifts at each of the municipality's nursing homes.

Each night we meet with the mobile night team and have telephone sparring with the nursing homes. We triage citizens to detect early onset illness. Here you play an important role in strengthening colleagues' professional competencies through a reflective, guiding and facilitating approach.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Can act as the lead for citizens with chronic and mental illnesses, active treatment courses and terminal courses, even when resources are scarce
• Has experience with acute, complex cases and works in a structured way based on clinical leadership
• Has knowledge of early detection, ISBAR and TOBS
• Builds relationships based on trust and openness with citizens, relatives and colleagues
• Collaborates well internally and across the municipality's actors
• Has pedagogical and communicative abilities and a positive approach to new tasks
• Can lead nursing independently and facilitate health promotion with a focus on rehabilitation
• Has authorization as a nurse and a driving license

Salary and employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically lies between DKK 37,534 and DKK 54,773 per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special remunerations. It is important to note that your exact salary is determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and is negotiated with the relevant trade union.

A private criminal record check must be presented upon employment in the position.
