About the job

Are you a dental hygienist or dentist with an interest in orthodontics and treating children and adolescents?

At our orthodontic clinic on Saxogade, we offer a permanent position three days a week from January 1, 2027, with close professional sparring and the opportunity to develop your competences within orthodontics. We are primarily seeking a dental hygienist for orthodontic patient treatment. If you are a dentist with solid clinical experience and a desire to develop yourself within orthodontics, we would also like to hear from you. If we do not find a dental hygienist with the right qualifications, the position can be filled by a dentist in a trainee position with structured training and supervision.

About the position

You will become part of a cross-disciplinary team of specialist dentists, dental hygienists and clinical assistants. We work closely together on patient pathways and place emphasis on high professional quality, ongoing sparring and a safe and respectful contact with children, young people and parents.

As a dental hygienist, your main task will be orthodontic patient treatment and controls in active orthodontic treatment courses. You will handle the tasks with independent responsibility within your competencies and in close collaboration with the specialist dentists. Training and tasks are adapted to your experience. Your tasks include among other things

  • orthodontic treatment tasks and controls according to the established treatment plan
  • follow-up on treatment courses and assessment of treatment development in collaboration with the specialist dentists
  • information and guidance to children, young people and parents
  • journal keeping and documentation of your own treatment
  • collaboration on planning and coordinating coherent patient pathways.

Who are you?

We are looking for a qualified dental hygienist, preferably with clinical experience. Experience with orthodontics is an advantage. We emphasize that you

  • have an interest in orthodontics and treatment of children and adolescents
  • thrive with independent patient treatment and work in a structured and quality-conscious way
  • are approachable and good at communicating with patients and parents
  • take responsibility for your tasks and contribute to good collaboration
  • have a desire to develop professionally and share knowledge with your colleagues.

If you are applying as a dentist

We are looking for a qualified dentist with solid clinical experience and particular interest in orthodontics. Experience from both private practice and municipal dental care is an advantage, but not a requirement. As a trainee you will receive structured training, supervision and close professional sparring with the specialists. You participate in daily patient care and gradually gain greater independence and responsibility as your competences develop.

Also in employment as a dentist in a trainee position, this is a permanent position three days a week.

We offer

  • a specialized professional environment with close sparring and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • training tailored to your background and experience
  • a daily life with close patient contact and opportunities for professional development
  • a collegial community where we help each other and share responsibility for the tasks.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent employment with start on January 1, 2027. Working hours are three days a week within the clinic's opening hours. The concrete working days will be agreed upon. Employment occurs according to the applicable collective agreement for dental hygienists or dentists, as well as an agreement on local pay formation. Holidays and other days off follow applicable agreements and the dental hygiene’s scheme for closing days. In connection with the employment, we will obtain child and criminal records checks and take references.
