Teacher for a full-time permanent position in the lower secondary at Holstebro Ungdomsskole

Holstebro Youth School is seeking a committed, teacher-trained instructor for a fixed full-time position in our lower secondary. The position is to be filled by 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible .

We are not looking for specific subject combinations—the most important thing for us is who you are as a person and as a professional, and how you meet and collaborate with young people.

It is an advantage if you have competences in one or more of the following areas

• experience with the target group and solid pedagogical experience corresponding to this
• practical subjects and workshop activities
• practice-oriented and application-oriented teaching
• relationship work and work with adolescents' well-being and participation

Your professional profile is important, but your pedagogical approach, relationship skills and willingness to develop practice together with your colleagues and leadership are valued most highly.

About our students

In the Lower Secondary you will meet wonderful young people with very different prerequisites, strengths and support needs.

Students may, among other things, have diagnoses, school attendance issues, social or emotional challenges and previous experiences of not succeeding at school.

Common to them is that they need adults who are clear, persistent and curious, and who can see opportunities rather than limitations.

We work to ensure that students feel like valuable participants in academic and social communities. Therefore we plan the teaching flexibly, practically and with a view to each individual student’s ability to contribute and succeed.

At Holstebro Youth School we work to create good conditions for participation and courage to develop, so that more children and young people have the opportunity to succeed in community.

We are in the process of a development from a special institution to a more community-based school. This means we focus on

• practice-oriented, varied and application-oriented teaching
• co-teaching and shared responsibility for teaching
• the connection between school, leisure and the surrounding society

The participation-responsible teams are the school’s fundamental organizing principle. The team shares responsibility for students’ participation, well-being, learning and development and works systematically with planning, implementation, evaluation and adjustment of teaching.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent full-time role and employment is in accordance with current collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation. You will be employed as a teacher under the agreement with Uddannelsesforbundet.
