About the job

Join a school where we believe in the children, even when they don't believe in themselves

Ejstrupholm School is seeking a qualified teacher for a fixed full-time position in our middle-form and special provision. The position is primarily aimed at students in the middle school and upper secondary.

We are especially seeking competences in Danish and English, and preferably other humanities subjects. The position also includes AKT lessons, where you should contribute to strengthening the well-being and participation of individual students and the class as a whole.

About the task

You will become part of a closely collaborating team around students who need a clear, structured and individually tailored school day. The students may, among other things, be challenged by ADHD, autism, as well as learning and attention difficulties.

In daily life you should be able to balance demanding relevant requirements with continuously adjusting the teaching to the students' resources, needs and possibilities. We emphasize that you can create meaningful teaching, good relationships and experiences of mastery – even when the school day becomes difficult for the individual student.

The AKT hours can include interventions for individual students as well as work with groups and class communities.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a qualified teacher and can teach Danish and English, and preferably other humanities subjects
  • has special education knowledge or a strong interest in the area
  • can adapt your teaching and pedagogical approach to the individual student
  • sees strong and trusting relationships as a prerequisite for learning, development and well-being
  • can create structure, predictability and clear boundaries
  • can stay calm and act thoughtfully when students meet the school day with resistance or frustration
  • is focused on creating participation opportunities and experiences of mastery
  • thrives in a committed team collaboration characterized by open communication, professional curiosity and reflection
  • can participate constructively in collaboration with parents, colleagues and external partners
  • wants to actively contribute to the school's AKT work and the development of inclusive learning environments.

Experience from the special education field or with AKT work is an advantage, but what matters is your approach to the students and your desire to develop professionally.

We offer

  • a permanent full-time position at a school with short decision-making paths and close collaboration
  • opportunity for professional development within special education, middle forms and AKT
  • skilled and engaged colleagues who help each other and share their practice
  • opportunity to influence the development of our middle form and special provision
  • a working environment focused on the well-being of both children and adults
  • a close and constructive collaboration with parents
  • a workplace with humor, commitment and room for diversity.
