About the job

Are you passionate about teaching in the early years, and are you a present and engaged teacher who wants to create strong learning communities for all children? Do you thrive on working closely with your colleagues and bringing your subject interests into play? Then you may be the teacher we are looking for for the early years at Jægerspris School.

Your task

We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching in the early years, and who wants to help create a school day in which children experience the joy of learning and have the opportunity to develop themselves both academically and socially.

A large part of the position will be linked to SUV and co-teaching, where you together with another teacher participate in the teaching as two adults in the classroom. This means that you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with your colleagues to plan and implement teaching that takes into account the pupils' different prerequisites and needs.

We want to create a timetable where your competencies and interests come into play.

Therefore you will have the opportunity to help build your timetable in dialogue with us. We imagine that at next year’s subject distribution you would like to teach Danish, but we are also interested in hearing about your academic interests, especially in music and visual arts .

In this school year there will also be the following teaching tasks in the year groups

  • 1st grade: Music and Christianity.
  • 2nd grade: English, Christianity and Visual Arts.
  • 3rd grade: Music and Visual Arts.

Similarly, we have lessons in our Springboard , which is a middle form for students who need to be able to withdraw and work on their tasks in a smaller and more predictable framework.

You will become part of a year-group collaboration where we prioritize sparring, joint planning, and professional development. We believe we create the best teaching when we use each other’s competencies and experiences.

The children wish for you

  • to be passionate about teaching and to meet them with engagement, clarity, and presence.
  • to create teaching that awakens curiosity and allows space for both subject deepening, play, and creativity.
  • to have a focus on the individual child while also working to ensure that all children feel part of the class community.
  • to be able to create structure and security in daily life while maintaining the desire to try new paths.

The colleagues wish for someone who

  • is a trained teacher and passionate about teaching in the early years (1st – 5th grade).
  • would preferably have Danish as a teaching subject and perhaps also an interest in music and visual arts.
  • wants to develop the teaching together with others and sees co-teaching as an opportunity for professional sparring and joint development.
  • is curious about the different learning needs of students and actively contributes to creating participation opportunities for all children.
  • values close collaboration with colleagues and parents and, in time, wishes to take on tasks as a class teacher together with their colleague.

We offer

  • An engaged and present staff with a strong team spirit.
  • A workplace where well-being, development and community go hand in hand and develop from the bottom up.
  • A professional learning community with ongoing reflection and sparring.
  • A school that prioritises co-teaching, two-adult arrangements, and relational competencies.
  • Opportunity to have influence on your own timetable and bring your academic interests and competencies into play.
  • A varied school day where collaboration and shared responsibility for the pupils’ learning and well-being are a natural part of the task.
