About the job

Will you make a difference where it matters most for the children?

At Vedbæk School we don't believe in quick, simple explanations or easy, fast solutions. We believe that children succeed when adults succeed together.

Therefore we are looking for a teacher to the resource team, who will help qualify the professional communities around students in the middle years and in the upper grades. A colleague who can help us keep focus on the core task and create actions that strengthen the students' opportunities to participate, learn and thrive.

About the position As part of the resource team you will play a central role in supporting children and young people who need special interventions in general education. Your tasks take their starting point in qualifying the professional communities around the students and creating development through clear, shared and well-coordinated processes.

You will facilitate dialogue, follow-ups and trials in close collaboration with classroom teams, PPR and parents – with a focus on transparency, progression and a common view of what works.

Your tasks Coordinator role and collaboration

  • Be the coordinator on student cases and ensure coherence between interventions, trials and follow-up.
  • Hold dialogue meetings with teams and parents, where you use affirming and development-oriented meeting models such as LØFT, SOS or similar.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, create clear follow-up and support teams in maintaining agreements and interventions.

Practice-oriented special pedagogy

  • Observe students and learning environments and bring your observations into play in collaboration with the team.
  • Supervise in the middle school and upper secondary years – especially when something is at stake in the child community.
  • Engage in co-teaching, where you and the team work to create participation opportunities and strengthen inclusive practice.
  • Support wellbeing sessions and conversations with children in both small groups and individually.

Contribute to the school's development

  • Participate in parent meetings, e.g., about child communities, wellbeing and our pedagogical approach.
  • Give presentations and contribute to collegial competence development in collaboration with the resource team.
  • Help translate Rudersdal Municipality's view of children into daily practice.

About you We are seeking someone who

  • Is a trained teacher and has an interest in the special education field.
  • Has a theoretical foundation and can bring it into play in meetings, observations and practice-oriented collaborations.
  • Has experience in being a coordinator on student cases and can work in a structured, clear and development-oriented way.
  • Thrives in an exploratory and co-creating collaboration and actively contributes to shared reflection.
  • Has good collaboration skills and a desire to join a team where we lift together as a group.
  • Can maintain direction when the task is complex and hold on to the core task as a compass.

About Vedbæk School Vedbæk School is located in scenic surroundings with the beach in the backyard and the forest as a neighbor – only 20 minutes from Østerport and with train service right to the door.

We have approx. 500 students and a strong community among both children and adults. Here there is room for laughter and courage to try new things.

We work purposefully to create participation opportunities for all children and believe that secure relationships, collaboration and clear shared efforts are the foundation for learning and wellbeing.
