Teacher for the Welcome Classes - mathematics, English, DSA and science subjects (re-advertisement)

Do you want to help give children and young people from all over the world a good start to school life in Denmark?

At Hotherskolen we are seeking a teacher for our welcome classes.

We are looking for an engaged teacher who is passionate about language, learning and communities, and who wants to make a difference for students who are new to Denmark.

In the welcome classes you will meet students with very different linguistic, cultural and academic experiences. The task is to create safe learning environments, develop students' language skills and support their path into the school's academic and social communities.

You will become part of an engaged team that collaborates closely on the students' development and on creating smooth transitions to general education.

We are particularly interested in competences within

• Mathematics
• English
• Danish as a second language (DSA)
• Physics/chemistry

We imagine that you

• are a trained teacher
• have an interest in Danish as a second language and the learning of bilingual students
• see language development as part of all subjects
• can build strong relationships with students and families
• meet diversity with curiosity and respect
• can collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners
• wish to be part of a school in development

Experience with DSA is an advantage, but we are also happy to hear from you if you would like to develop your competencies in the area.
