About the job

Do you have heart in it – and a desire to create learning both indoors and outdoors?

Are you passionate about making a difference for students with special needs? Do you have a nuanced and broad understanding of learning – and do you want to help create the framework where the individual student can succeed? If so, you now have the opportunity to join the Satellitten team. We are looking for a teacher or pedagogue for a temporary 37-hour position on our middle level in Satellitten.

This is a fixed-term position in a maternity cover. The employment is from 1 December 2026 to 31 December 2027.

About Satellitten

Satellitten is Langå School's special class department for students from 0th to 10th grade. The students typically have learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders and/or ADHD, general learning difficulties and mild socio-emotional challenges.

Satellitten is organized into early school years, middle level and upper level. We are now seeking a staff member for our middle level, where the pupils are diverse in personality, academically and socially and therefore require different approaches, frameworks and opportunities to succeed.

We believe that learning can take place in many places and in many ways. The path does not have to be straight – we are committed to finding the paths that give each student motivation, mastery and a desire to participate.

For us, it is important that all students experience themselves as valuable and meaningful members of a community. Therefore, we work with many small, safe and thriving communities where the students can belong, contribute and experience the joy of being part of something. We are about one teacher/pedagogue for four students, and we have formed our two classes at the middle level with three staff in each class, which we divide into smaller groups. A close and egalitarian collaboration between the disciplines is a cornerstone of our work.

We meet our students with Randers Municipality's shared view of children and learning: All children and young people have resources and potentials – all children and young people have value in themselves and do their best.

We

  • believe that safety creates the courage to learn, and that relationships are the foundation for both well-being and development.
  • offer many small, thriving communities where students can participate on their own terms and feel that they have value and significance.
  • prioritize teaching and learning highly and create clear and comprehensible frameworks that support the individual student’s needs, independence and development.
  • work with visual aids, structure and predictability.
  • meet the students with acknowledgment and calm and create frameworks that support a calm nervous system and strengthen the individual student’s well-being and development potential.
  • offer ongoing supervision and feedback and are proud of a work environment characterized by high professionalism, strong community, good collaboration and value the importance of a good break where there is time for a cup of coffee, a laugh and a bit of air in everyday life.
  • We stand on the values of SAFETY and COURAGE – and we have heart in what we do.

You

  • are a trained teacher or pedagogue and want to work with students with special needs at the middle level.
  • are good at building relationships and meeting students with warmth, humor, curiosity and respect.
  • want to create a meaningful school day where students’ academic, social and personal development are considered together.
  • want to bring your professional competencies into play in the teaching. You may very well enjoy practical learning, outdoor activities and muddy boots or other alternative learning environments. We are curious about your wishes and competencies.
  • can create clear, safe and predictable frameworks while also thinking creatively and flexibly.
  • can look beyond students’ behavior, have a calm, experimental and problem-solving approach with clarity and acknowledgment as central points.
  • preferably have knowledge of or experience with autism, ADHD and mild socio-emotional challenges.
  • see the strength in close parental and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • wish to support work on inclusion when it makes sense for the individual student.
  • want to be part of our community with humor and warmth and contribute to our good working environment.

What will you get with us?

You will become part of a workplace where you are not alone with the task. We prioritize collective reflection, sparring and development and believe that we become more skilled together.

You will have the opportunity to bring your professional knowledge, your interests and your competencies into play. Perhaps you are passionate about nature, outdoor life, music, crafts, cooking, creative activities, sports – or something entirely different, which can open new paths to learning and community.

You will have leadership and colleagues who take professionalism seriously but who also have room for humor, warmth and a good laugh in everyday life.
