Teacher sought for maternity leave replacement in Danish, history, Christianity and physical education in the upper grades at Tørring School

We are looking for an engaged and ambitious teacher who can teach Danish, history, Christianity and physical education in the upper years. The position is a full-time temporary position until March 1, 2027.

About the job and the tasks

Tørring School is a public school right in the middle of a community in rapid development. The school has about 450 students spread across 0nd-10th grade, including 100 after-school care children, as well as 60 staff members. At the school we have both vocational classes and reception groups.

Pedagogically we are very conscious of working systemically around each individual student’s learning and well-being. We work deliberately to create sustainable inclusive learning environments for all children. "WE DO IT TOGETHER, so that the students can learn and thrive as much as possible" is our common starting point for the mutual, binding parent collaboration. We work from the Low Arousal approach and the belief that children who can behave properly, do so. This approach is also reflected in our positive and acknowledging view of children.

We work very deliberately to guide the students through visual support systems, just as we believe that conscious classroom management makes a difference in the students' learning and well-being. Here, professional collaboration in the team and with the parents is crucial.

About the job

• You must be able to teach in Danish , history, Christianity and physical education.
• Experience with teaching upper secondary students is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You are a trained teacher.

We want a new colleague who is open and willing to a close team collaboration. You must be didactically and pedagogically ambitious and ready to contribute to a good working environment. You see opportunities and want change when it is called for.

You must be a trained teacher and be strong in relationship work, robust and persistent. You must be able to maintain an overview and think in systems to accommodate both the class and the individual student’s needs as best as possible. Finally, you should want to be part of the school–home collaboration around the year group, and have a respectful approach and a good sense of the knowledge and possible challenges you can get close to in contact with the families.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate qualification and function pay.

The position is a temporary contract until March 1, 2027. The start date preferably November 1, 2026, but no later than December 1, 2026.
