Teachers for our growing reception classes for upper-grade students

We are still receiving more students in our upper-secondary reception classes at Skjern Folkeskole. Therefore we are now expanding with another class and are looking for 2 teachers who want to become part of a strong professional and collegial community. The positions are full-time and provisional until July 2027 with the possibility of extension.

In the reception classes, young people who have recently come to Denmark attend and receive basic instruction in Danish as a second language. The students come with different school experiences, languages and academic prerequisites. What they have in common is that they must find their footing in a new school, a new language and a new everyday life.

Here is where you come in.

We need to cover the full range of subjects in the new class and are especially interested in teachers with competencies in Danish, mathematics, English, science and practical-artistic subjects. Tell us what you can contribute.

If you have experience with or competencies in Danish as a second language (DSA), that is a clear advantage, but it is not a requirement. The most important is that you are academically curious and eager to work with a student group where teaching requires both clarity, flexibility and attention to the individual.
