About the job
Are you a teacher who can create learning, relationships, and participation opportunities for children at Helsingør Municipality's special school?
Are you passionate about special pedagogy and day treatment, and would you like to help create safe, developmental, and meaningful school days for students with special needs in our day treatment department? Then we may have your next position.
The Skolen ved Rønnebær Allé is Helsingør Municipality's new consolidated special school and houses special education offerings and day treatment offerings.
In connection with the municipality's Master Plan for the development of the school and leisure area , the existing special offerings are gathered in one place – at our new, shared special school.
Who are you?
We are looking for teachers who are passionate about making a difference and who
- Have a personal interest and commitment to working with students with special needs.
- Can create structure, predictability, and security in students' daily lives.
- Are skilled at adapting the teaching to each student’s academic and social level.
- Have the ability and overview to prepare written documentation such as student plans, statements, and status descriptions.
- Meet students and their families with an acknowledging, empathetic, and respectful approach.
- Are a team player with patience, resilience, and a positive mindset.
- Want and are willing to closely cooperate with colleagues, parents, and external actors.
- You are strong in relationship work with a high degree of empathy, patience, and perseverance.
- You are robust, engaged, and eager to be part of a team with high academic ambitions.
Experience with the target group can be an advantage, but we also welcome you if you have an interest and desire to work with the target group.
We have ongoing training programs and your team will welcome you.
Several subject combinations may be relevant – we assemble the team based on both competencies and preferences.
Who are we?
We are in the process of creating a strong, academically founded and inclusive special school, which brings together expertise from several existing offerings:
- L-classes (day treatment)
- D-classes (students with ADHD)
- Nygård School (students with ASD)
- Team V (students with extensive learning difficulties)
With the merger, we create a consolidated, flexible special educational environment, where we can more closely tailor interventions for the students – across disciplines.
We offer
- A workday focused on both professional content, well-being, and personal development.
- A strong professional community and close team collaboration.
- An varied daily life, where there is room for both deepening and development.
- Possibility for relevant skills development within the target group.
Co-teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration
At Skolen ved Rønnebær Allé you will not be alone with the task.
We work purposefully with co-teaching and flexible learning environments, where teachers and pedagogues bring their different professionalities into play to benefit the students. Teaching is planned and carried out in collaboration, and there is an opportunity to organize the students in different ways depending on their needs.
We believe that the best solutions are created together, and therefore collaboration is a natural part of everyday life – both in the team around the class and across the school.
