About the job
Do you dream of a leadership space where you have elbow room for your visions, but you don’t stand alone? Where sparring, shared direction and shared responsibility are the driving force? And are you motivated by creating the best conditions for citizens, staff and quality in collaboration with interdisciplinary partners?
Then you may be the group leader we are looking for for Home Care Evening/Night in Langeland Municipality.
We are seeking an ambitious leader who will head a well-functioning group with high professionalism, strong cohesion and a shared focus on creating the best possible everyday life and quality of life for the citizens.
About the home care in Langeland
Home Care Evening/Night is a well-established group with 37 permanent employees and a relief team of 14 dedicated staff. Many have been part of the organization for many years, and several have celebrated anniversaries. This provides a strong culture characterized by experience, independence, helpfulness and collegial support.
The visiting home care is organized into three day groups – North, Central and South – as well as one consolidated Evening/Night group, covering the entire island. As group leader you will therefore be responsible for an area with a wide range of professional expertise and many collaboration interfaces.
A learning organization
Langeland Municipality places a high priority on developing competencies. Ongoing teaching and development programs for staff are carried out, both through external instructors and e-learning.
There is systematic work with citizen conferences, professional sparring and training, and there is strong attention to the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration as a prerequisite for quality and coherence in citizen pathways.
Shared experience – individual leadership
We believe that strong leadership is developed through collaboration.
Therefore you will participate in various management forums across Older and Health, where leadership development, sparring and supervision are a natural part of everyday life. You will become part of a close leadership team together with the other group leaders, the home care manager and the head of nursing.
Your main tasks
The position spans broadly between daily management, professional development and operational responsibility.
You will, among other things, be responsible for
- Leadership and development of the cross-disciplinary visiting teams
- Hands-on people management and staff development
- Recruitment, onboarding and retention of staff
- Operations and shift planning
- Work environment, well-being and sick leave initiatives
- Quality in documentation and follow-up in KMD Nexus
- Implementation of new workflows, initiatives and legislation
- Collaboration with citizens, relatives and external partners
- Continued development of home care and cross-disciplinary collaboration
We are looking for someone who
Has a health professional background and is motivated by achieving results through other people.
It would be advantageous, but not required, if you have experience from home care, nursing, the elderly sector or similar areas as well as experience with personnel management or coordinating functions.
We especially emphasize that you
- Can set direction and translate goals into practice
- Are clear, trust-building and present in your leadership
- Have the courage to make decisions – even when they are difficult
- See the strength in shared leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Can balance operations, economy, quality and employee well-being
- Work strategically without losing sight of daily practice
- Create motivation through involvement, recognition and clear expectations
We offer
A leadership position with great opportunities for influence and development.
You will become part of a leadership group that prioritizes camaraderie, sparring and mutual support. At the same time you will have access to supervision, leadership development and a strong professional network.
In addition we offer
- Engaged and loyal staff
- Great opportunities for professional and managerial development
- A thorough induction program
- A high degree of flexibility
- Opportunity to influence both your own daily life and the organization’s development
If the position is filled on 1 January 2027, the current group leader will be able to act as mentor in the first month. The focus will be on introduction to the organization, the administrative systems and daily workflows, so you have a solid foundation to develop your own leadership practice.
Salary and employment
The position is a permanent appointment, with the start date of 1 January 2027.
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation.
The salary is set after individual negotiation based on the relevant managerial agreement depending on education.
