About the job

Do you want to lead a strong HR professional environment – and do you thrive on both leading and being close to the professional task solving?

We are in the process of combining HR Legal (Jura) and HR Development into one common HR unit. We do this to bring our different professional competencies closer together, so we can give the municipality's leaders and workplaces the best possible HR support.

Now we are seeking the team leader who will head the new unit and, together with the employees, help to make the two professional environments grow together into one HR.

You come in at an exciting time. The organizational direction is set, but we are still in the process of creating the shared everyday life. You therefore play a central role in developing our collaboration, professional sparring and joint task solving – while still preserving and using the strong specialized professionalities.

The position is at team leader level. You will have the personnel responsibility for employees in HR and at the same time your own professional task portfolio. We are therefore looking for a team leader who is motivated both by management close to the employees and who also wants to have their hands in HR tasks.

What you get with us

With us you get a team leader position with real management space and the opportunity to shape the common everyday life in HR. You will become part of a staff with strong professionalities, close collaboration and a short path from decision to action.

As a team leader you can also look forward to

  • developing a strong professional community where specialization, sparring and knowledge sharing go hand in hand
  • your own professional task portfolio within the HR area
  • close collaboration with the head of staff, the team leader for Payroll and colleagues across the staff
  • a central role in supporting the municipality's leaders and workplaces
  • flexible frameworks with the possibility of home office and flexible working hours
  • a workplace with high well-being, strong professionalities and an informal tone.

Your tasks and your responsibility

As a team leader you will have the daily personnel and leadership responsibility for HR. You should be a presence and accessible leader who creates direction, prioritizes tasks and follows up to ensure we reach our goals.

One of your most important leadership tasks will be to develop the shared HR professional environment. We do not all need to be able to do the same thing. On the contrary, there should still be room for strong specialists. But we must be even better at using each other’s competences, sharing knowledge and bringing different professional areas together on the tasks.

You must therefore feel comfortable leading skilled specialists – also in areas where they know more than you – and be able to create the framework for both the individual and the collective to succeed.

At the same time you are a working team leader. You will have your own professional task portfolio and must be able to engage in concrete HR tasks, advise managers and contribute actively to our deliverables. The balance between leadership and your own professional tasks will vary over time.

In everyday life this means you must both have an eye for the employees, the overall task portfolio and the professional development. You will, among other things, come to:

  • lead, spar with and develop the employees in HR
  • create an overview, direction and prioritization in the daily task solving
  • develop a common core task and strong collaboration forms in HR
  • strengthen professional sparring, knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration
  • ensure that the employees' different competencies are brought to best use
  • ensure professional and coherent HR support of the municipality's leaders and workplaces
  • work closely with Payroll, JURA and the Secretariat and with managers and colleagues across the municipality
  • actively contribute to HR's task solving through your own professional task portfolio.

HR's tasks span widely. We work among other things with personnel law, MED and the Main Committee, occupational health and APV, sick leave and well-being, HR data, recruitment, leadership support as well as organizational and leadership development.

You do not have to be able to do it all – but you must be able to make the whole function work.

Your profile

You may already have management experience, but you may also be facing your first formal leadership job. Perhaps you have, as a professional coordinator, consultant or in another role, already taken responsibility for professional direction, collaboration and task solving.

The important thing for us is not your current title, but that you have the desire and potential to take personnel responsibility and can create followership among professionally strong employees.

  • have a relevant higher education, a solid HR professional foundation and can contribute professionally to the task solving
  • have management experience or clear management potential and a desire to take personnel responsibility
  • can create direction, prioritize and follow up – even when everyday life is busy
  • can create followership and get different professional areas and people to succeed together
  • are comfortable leading specialists and curious about professional areas outside your own
  • have strong organizational understanding and can operate in a complex organization. Municipal experience will be a big advantage.

As a leader you are present, proper and clear. You have a view for both people, professionalism and tasks, and you thrive in a role where you both give space and can make decisions.
