About the job
Would you lead a team with specialized tasks and help support the interaction between operations, data, system management and cross-cutting governance? Are you keen to combine people leadership, professional direction and close collaboration with management and colleagues in an organization in development? Then you might be the team leader we are looking for!
The Danish Building Agency is the state’s property company. We develop, build, operate and optimize the state’s workplaces and deliver Facility Management solutions to a large and complex business. Right now we are looking for a team leader for the Center for Facility Management, where we work with operation, governance and development. Solid data, good system support and a strong collaboration are essential for the business to function, and this is where you as team leader for Team Data and Analytics get the opportunity to play a central role.
As team leader you will have personnel responsibility for the team's approx. 10 employees and will at the same time be an important sparring partner for the center head regarding prioritization, direction and coherence in task execution.
Your new everyday life
In the position you will be responsible for the daily management of a team of skilled employees with different professional backgrounds and tasks, which place emphasis on high professionalism, responsibility, knowledge sharing and a good tone.
The team’s employees support among other things invoicing basis and data presentation in the SFM area, bid lists, price structures, FM systems and other business-near deliverables that have great importance for both operations, finances and development.
As a leader you follow up on tasks and well-being daily and create good frameworks for collaboration and competence development through, among other things, board meetings, 1:1 conversations and employee development interviews (MUS).
In addition your tasks include
- Create coherence between the business needs, data, system support and processes and ensure that this is translated into concrete solutions
- Support the team’s and center’s work with value-creating data presentation and business-relevant analyses
- Support a stable and transparent basis for invoicing and other central deliverables in the FM area
- Drive and qualify the work with bid lists and price structures, including for strategically important Facility Management procurements
- Represent the area in relevant cross-functional collaborations and governance forums and support the team’s role regarding business responsibility for central systems in the area
You will also contribute to management support and decision documents.
You step into a position with many interfaces to the rest of the organization, and where you become central in creating a strong cross-functional collaboration that ensures that business needs are communicated and translated into concrete solutions.
What we can offer you
With us you get a central leadership role in an area of great importance to the overall Facility Management business. You will become part of a center where tasks are diverse, and where there is a need for a leader who can create coherence, progress and good solutions across. At the same time you have skilled colleagues with high ambitions, who prioritize a good working environment.
You form together with Center Manager, Kristina Witt Vejle and your two nearest team leader colleagues, Sophie and Jesper, the management group for the Contract- Data and Center Governance area. In the management group we emphasize trust, sparring and close collaboration, where we help each other, play to each other’s strengths and take joint responsibility for wellbeing, direction and results.
At the same time you will become part of the Center for Facility Management’s overall leadership group, where you will contribute to shared leadership, prioritization and coordination of the center’s tasks.
As a team leader you also join the agency’s overall leadership group, where you will have leadership colleagues with different professional backgrounds and tasks, who work together to develop and ensure good leadership and strong cross-functional collaboration in the Agency for Buildings, among other things via common management meetings and leadership development seminars.
This way you get a daily life close to both business and employees, and you become part of an organization where there is room to think new and create improvements, and where there is good opportunity for sparring.
About you
We imagine you have a relevant advanced education, e.g., in social science, economics, public administration, IT or engineering. It is an advantage if you have experience in leading employees or have previously held a clearly coordinating or professionally leading role.
In addition we emphasize that you
- Have an understanding of the interaction between data, business, systems and processes
- Can represent the area in cross-functional collaborations and create coherence between professional needs, operations and development
- Have an interest in, or experience with, data, system management or similar business-near areas – preferably within Facility Management
As a person you are curious and motivated to find solutions together with others. You thrive in a daily life with many contact points and changing problem statements, where you manage to create overview, prioritize and follow up. You do not need to be a specialist in all of the team’s areas, but you can familiarize yourself with complex problems, ask the right questions and create good frameworks for employees with specialized tasks. You communicate clearly and collaborate well with different professional backgrounds and organizational units.
Experience from a politically governed organization or from a larger and complex operating organization is an advantage.
