About the job

Do you want to influence professional development and well-being, and are you passionate about visible leadership, professional sparring and a good working environment? Do you want to contribute to ensuring high quality in the work for young people and adults with mental, social and cognitive challenges?

Then you may be the one we are looking for as team leader for Team Residential Care, Support and STU (TBS).

As team leader you will be responsible for the daily operations and leadership in close collaboration with the departmental head and the professional coordinator. You will become a central collaborator in the development of the area and have the opportunity to influence both professionalism, collaboration and the working environment.

About Team Residential Care, Support and STU

The team consists of three core areas

  • The Suensonsvej Residential Care home, a §107 offer for young people between 18 and 35 years with reduced mental functioning and social challenges.
  • Housing support initiatives under § 82 and § 85, where the staff support citizens in their own homes. The team also works with discharge tasks under the LAB Act and the preparation of autism profiles, etc.
  • STU Frederikshavn, which offers specially tailored youth education for young people with special needs.

The Suensonsvej Residential Care home is a 24-hour facility under the Danish Act on Social Services § 107 for young people between 18 and 35 years with reduced mental functioning, special social challenges and therefore cannot live in their own apartment. We work from an appreciative approach, where the citizen’s self-determination and quality of life are central. In addition, we work to make citizens self-reliant to be able to live in their own housing.

The starting point is a daily life with a focus on an education- and employment-oriented direction. There are 6 fixed social educators attached, as well as a pool of substitutes. The team also consists of 7 social educators who work with housing support tasks – typically in the citizen’s own home – where we offer §82 and §85 initiatives. The team also works with §114, discharge tasks under the LAB Act, and the preparation of autism profiles, etc.

And the team also consists of STU Frederikshavn, where there are up to 30 young people receiving an educational offer under STU legislation.

The total staff consists of 19 employees.

TBS is part of the Frederikshavn Job Center, which means the everyday life is focused on an education- and employment-oriented direction.
