Team Leader - Machine Department

Power People South is seeking on behalf of a partner a team leader for the machine department.

Here you will get a role where you are both the one leading in daily life and an active part of production. You will become an important part of a team of around four employees, where the task is to ensure that production runs, quality is in order, and the day’s tasks are solved efficiently.

Your tasks

As a team leader you will, among other things, be responsible for

• Daily coordination and planning of work in the department
• Distributing and following up on tasks in the team
• Ensuring flow, quality and on-time delivery
• Guiding, motivating and supporting your colleagues in daily work
• Active participation in production
• Preparing cutting programs and production lists
• Start-up and control of production
• Follow-up on quality and continuous improvements
• Planning of employee rotation and training
• Introduction of new employees and apprentices
• Working with SigmaNEST as well as ongoing inventory counting of raw materials

You should not expect to sit at a desk all day. You must be visible in production and lead together with your colleagues.

Modern machinery

The machine department works with, among other things

• CNC plasma, flame cutting and laser
• Bystronic laser cutting – including up to 20 kW
• CNC press brakes
• CNC rollers
• CNC saw
• Blower cleaning
• Finishing
• SigmaNEST

We work with carbon steel in thicknesses from about 2–100 mm.

If you do not have experience with SigmaNEST, it is not necessarily a hindrance. The system can be learned in relatively short time.

We imagine that you

• Are a trained metalworker or have equivalent experience
• Have solid experience from the metal industry
• Have technical understanding and preferably experience with CNC
• Can keep an overview when it is busy
• Work in a structured way and take responsibility
• Have natural leadership qualities
• Can motivate and engage your colleagues
• Focus on quality and delivery
• SAA Danish and can understand English
• Have a forklift certificate
