About the job

Do you want to lead the future of municipal nursing?

In Vejen Municipality we are in full swing to strengthen primary health care. With the health reform and the upcoming changes in the health sector, we want to create an even stronger monofunctional nursing organization with close professional leadership, high quality, and attractive working communities.

We do not see the changes as a challenge. We see them as an opportunity.

Therefore we are strengthening our leadership organization and are seeking two group leaders who will help shape the future of municipal nursing and ensure that our nurses have close and professionally strong leadership near everyday work.

We are looking for

Group Leader for the day and evening shift team

Group Leader for the day and night shift team

Both positions report to the head of Nursing and are part of the central leadership group of the nursing department.

This is not an ordinary leadership job

You will enter an organization with competent nurses, high professionalism, and strong ambitions.

At the same time, we face a new reality where acute nursing shifts to the region. This means that we must rethink organization, workflows, and collaboration forms without losing the professional strength and cohesion that characterizes Nursing in Vejen Municipality.

As a group leader you will therefore not only have the responsibility for smooth daily operations. You will have a rare opportunity to shape the development of the nursing of the future and help create the solutions that will ensure quality, coherence and proximity for citizens.

Nursing is part of Older People and Rehabilitation, where we for several years have worked purposefully with health promotion, prevention and rehabilitation. Nursing is an important part of this work and the focus will not lessen with the implementation of the health reform.

We are therefore looking for leaders who can create calm in change, direction in complexity and following through through relationships.

What will be your main tasks?

You will play a central role in

  • succeed through others by being visible and accessible to the nurses
  • practice value-based leadership
  • create coherence between political decisions, strategic goals and citizens' experience of quality
  • in collaboration with the rest of the leadership team, create a shared culture that ensures well-being, development and professional pride in the overall nursing
  • take responsibility for daily operations and prioritization
  • support high professional quality and competence development
  • ensure rehabilitation as a natural approach in nursing
  • strengthen collaboration across professional groups, teams and sectors
  • contribute to a close and professionally developing collaboration with the other leaders in Older People and Rehabilitation – particularly group and center leaders in elder care
  • contribute to Vejen Municipality's NASA values, which are about:
  • Innovation, because that is how we succeed.
  • Recognition, because we see diversity as a strength.
  • Coherence, because we believe in the value of creating together with colleagues, citizens and businesses.
  • Accountability, because it promotes results and job satisfaction.

We imagine

You are a nurse with clinical experience and have found meaning in leadership.

You know that good leadership is about people, but you also know that clarity, structure and decisiveness are essential to create results.

You thrive in the tension between operations and development and can maintain an overview when everyday life is complex.

We are therefore looking for a leader who

  • has Danish authorization as a nurse.
  • has a relevant leadership education at a minimum diploma level, is in progress or is willing to start within the first year.
  • has experience in personnel management and professional leadership.
  • works with an appreciative and relational approach.
  • can create followership and engagement.
  • can translate strategies into concrete practice.
  • has financial understanding and awareness of resource use.
  • is motivated to develop both people and the organization.

We offer

Become part of an ambitious and development-oriented leadership group where there is room to dream, room for differences and a strong belief that the best results are created in collaboration. The leadership colleagues are physically close, which provides good opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing and joint leadership development. We meet each other with humor, trust and responsibility and value a working environment where there is focus on both the task and job satisfaction.

You will have the management responsibility for a group of engaged and professionally strong nurses who every day make a difference for the municipality's citizens. At the same time you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the municipal nursing and develop your own leadership and professional competences.

We believe that the health system of the future is created close to citizens, close to employees and through approachable leadership.
