Team Manager for Powerchair Floorball

We are seeking a team manager for the Danish national team in powerchair floorball.

Preparations and the journey towards the European Championship 2028 for the Danish national team in powerchair floorball are in full swing - and we are actively searching for a new team manager who wants to join the journey.

As the team manager for our national team, you will play a central and important role. With the responsibility of coordinating, planning and executing all administrative as well as practical tasks associated with the national team, you will be the unifying figure ensuring coherence across players, national coaches and the rest of the staff.

What is required in the role

• You must be structured and able to maintain an overall overview.
• You must be proactive and not afraid to lead from the front.
• You must be responsible and service‑minded.
• You must thrive with administrative, practical and coordinating work.
• You must possess good communication skills, including the ability to communicate in English both in writing and orally.
• You must take pride in ensuring that the national team has the best possible conditions and surroundings when the team is gathered, so that it is only the on‑court performances that players and coaches need to focus on.
• You must acquire a deep understanding of the sport, including gaining knowledge of the rules and the classification system.
• You must be familiar with Parasport Denmark's anti‑doping policy and other policies.
• You must be prepared to participate in connection with various official events related to the national team, particularly training camps and tournaments/finals.

This entails the role of team manager

As team manager you are the engine that makes everything run smoothly. You are the unifying person with the overall responsibility for the operation of the national team in close collaboration with the national coaching team, the rest of the staff and Powerchair Floorball Denmark. You are the one who has the overall overview and who handles all administrative and practical tasks surrounding the national team.

At both training camps and international tournaments and championships you will be responsible for everything concerning the national team that is not directly sport-related. You will thus be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out the administrative and practical tasks associated with the activities (training camps, championships, etc.) that the national coaching team and Powerchair Floorball Denmark have defined.

You will be the national team’s primary outward contact person, and you must ensure the forwarding of relevant information to the players, the national coaching team, the rest of the staff and other relevant people and stakeholders around the national team.

The amount of tasks and activities will vary a lot depending on the period. In the final tournament year (even years) significantly more tasks and activities are to be expected than in odd years.

The national team uses Musholm Holiday, Sport and Conference Center in Korsør as a fixed training center, and therefore the vast majority of activities will take place there, and they will typically occur on weekends.

It is expected that you as team manager will participate in the majority of the national team’s total activities.

Voluntary work is involved around the national team, and therefore salary compensation cannot be offered.

All costs related to the role as team manager including transport, accommodation and meals will of course be covered.

Application process

The position is desired to be filled as soon as possible and will be valid at least until June 2028 with an interim evaluation. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, and will close the advertisement when we have found the right match.
