Team Leader of Digitization and Pedagogical Development in the Children and Youth Administration

We are seeking a team leader for the Digitalisation and Pedagogical Development team in the Digitalisation Department of the Children and Youth Administration in the City of Copenhagen. We have about 20,000 employees in the administration, and the digitalisation department is responsible for ensuring the best possible digital support for the children and youth area, including schools and daycare.

We are a busy and engaged department where we challenge the status quo and spar, share knowledge and collaborate across specialisms. We want to make a difference for the Copenhagen children, their parents and our many users. We deliver digital solutions and advice to schools, including maturation of digital solutions and strategic direction for the use of new technologies (including AI), implementation- and change management in connection with the rollout of larger IT projects and also handle the business system management of systems targeted at the children and youth area.

The Digitalisation Department consists of about 45 employees spread over four teams, including Digitalisation and Pedagogical Development. As the team leader for Digitalisation and Pedagogical Development you will lead 18 skilled and dedicated employees whom you will supervise on a day-to-day basis. The employee group includes digitisation consultants, subject leads and IT project managers with several different professional backgrounds.

About you

You have experience with project management, digitalisation processes and system management, preferably from a public organization. Experience with digitalisation within the pedagogical area is an advantage but not a requirement. You have at least a few years of professional leadership in a digital context and ideally some experience in people management. Although your experience and personal competences are more important than your education, you likely have a relevant longer higher education.

You are structured and have a strong focus on ensuring overview and prioritisation across the task portfolio in close dialogue with the other management group, including portfolio management of projects and systems with a basis in the administration's strategic direction. You are digitally curious and navigate comfortably in politically governed organisations and manage to integrate day-to-day task solving with strategic development projects and IT procurement projects.

You have a natural interest in and place value on good presence-based leadership and have strong relational skills that enable you to listen, understand and motivate your employees and collaborate across the organization.

An outline of tasks you will be responsible for

• Ensure a strong user focus in the team's task execution
• People- and professional leadership with a focus on well-being and professional development of the team's employees
• Resource allocation and prioritisation of IT development activities in close dialogue with schools, day care, dental care etc.
• Operations and development of the professional part of the system management of systems targeted at the children and youth area, including ongoing optimisation based on best practice in the field and sector development requirements
• Ensure good collaboration with the other teams in Digitalisation, Group IT and other relevant parties
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of processes and workflows related to digital support

Employment terms

The position is full-time. Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with applicable collective agreement, depending on your qualifications and after negotiations with the union entitled to bargaining. The position is to commence as soon as possible.
