Technical Project Manager to ensure the power grid through the construction of Nexel's largest substations

We are looking for a technical project manager who will help deliver complex substation projects from concept to commissioning and ensure the future electricity supply in Zealand.

The entire Danish power grid is facing a comprehensive expansion and modernization. As a technical project manager you will play a central role in planning and delivering projects that are crucial for supply security and the integration of renewable energy.

In the Department of Special Projects

there are 16 engaged and closely-knit colleagues who work with a wide range of tasks – including 30 and 50 kV substations. You will have your own project portfolio, where projects range from transformer and switching equipment replacement to the establishment and expansion of new substations.

Your base is at the office in Virum, but you will surely have plenty of variety when you are out in the field.

You will be responsible for driving progress, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring that the projects are carried out with a focus on quality, economy and schedule.

More concretely you will

• define technical solutions in collaboration with internal and external specialists
• develop and maintain project and time plans
• coordinate contractors, consultants and other partners
• conduct procurements and purchasing of materials and contracts
• hold construction meetings and follow up on project progress
• ensure ongoing budget follow-up and financial management
• contribute to the quality assurance of technical documentation
• Depending on your experience there will also be opportunities to take responsibility for larger project portfolios or participate in the strategic prioritization of upcoming construction projects.

Safety is an important part of our daily life and projects. As a project manager you are responsible for ensuring that our safety instructions are followed and that your project participants are thoroughly informed about them.

You combine technical insight with solid project management

We expect you to have technical strength and experience in coordinating larger construction or infrastructure projects where many parties contribute to a common goal.

You come with

• a background as a strong current engineer, energy engineer, marine engineer or similar
• experience with high-voltage installations, the utility sector or other critical infrastructure
• experience with project management and thrive with both technical and organizational tasks
• motivation to build relationships and collaborate across organizations and disciplines
• experience in communicating professionally with contractors, consultants, authorities and internal partners
• Danish and English written and spoken
• driving license B
