About the job

Time-limited job – unlimited development! Hop aboard in an exciting maternity-leave position at the residential facility Strandboligerne

Are you looking for meaningful work for a period? Do you want to test your social work superpowers in a strong professional environment where you quickly grow with the task? One of our skilled colleagues is going on maternity leave, and we are looking for a sharp and warm-hearted substitute who can step in and make a noticeable difference for our residents from December 1, or by agreement, until June 30, 2027

Why choose a maternity-leave position with us?

A temporary position with us is not just a short-term landing – it is a shortcut to a lot of valuable experience. We see you as a full member of the team from day one, and here are three good reasons to apply for the role:

  • Boost your CV with solid professional expertise: You will have the opportunity to dive deep into our pedagogical methods and test your theory in practice, which makes you highly attractive in your future career.
  • The perfect framework to try something new: Are you a recent graduate, or considering a change within the social field? A maternity-leave position is the ideal way to find out if working at a residential facility is the right match for you.
  • New professional networks: You join a dynamic staff group. The network you build here can open doors in the future – and in an organization like ours, new opportunities often arise along the way.

Who are we?

Strandboligerne is a home for 38 fantastic residents. Our foremost task is to support each resident in living as independently and meaningfully as possible. We work from a recovery-oriented approach, where we see the whole person and start from resources rather than limitations.

With us you get skilled and engaged colleagues who place an incredibly high value on professional sparring, psychological safety, and a good working environment.

Your main tasks in the temporary position

Although everyday life is rarely the same, your fixed anchor points will be to

  • Provide pedagogical and practical support in daily life based on the residents' individual action plans.
  • Create structure and predictability that gives residents security to develop.
  • Be the driving force behind activities – whether it’s a forest walk, cooking in the communal kitchen, or a quiet chat over a cup of coffee.
  • Handle the written documentation (we use Nexus) to ensure professional continuity while your colleague is on maternity leave.

Who are you?

We envision that you are educated as a pedagogue, social worker, social and health care assistant or have another relevant social science background. However, the most important is your attitude:

  • You quickly establish contact: Since you will enter a temporary position, it comes naturally to you to reach out and build trusting relationships with both residents and colleagues.
  • You have a calm nervous system: You can contain difficult emotions and conflicts without losing overview or your professional focus.
  • You are flexible and eager to learn: You thrive on getting into new workflows and working hours (day, evening and every 2nd weekend).

What we offer you

  • A thorough introduction so you land safely in the job and quickly get to know the residents.
  • Ongoing supervision together with the rest of the team.
  • An collaborative work community with room to breathe, plenty of humor and space for professional discussions.

Does that sound like your next adventure?

Then do not hesitate to send us your application! We hold interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we have found the right profile.

Working hours: 37 hours per week, with the possibility of fewer hours if desired
