About the job

As a Test Engineer you will have a facilitating and supportive role in our agile organization, including identifying test needs and risk assessment in connection with development. You will gain good insight into new and existing test needs, as well as have hands-on in relation to standardization and automation.

Together with our Lead Test Engineer and other Test Engineers you will join a common forum, where methods and standards are discussed and implemented, and you will therefore be involved in shaping in which direction – and how - we lift the QA area in Alm. Brand Group.

Organisationally you will be attached to the domain “Product and Core”, where we work focused on our core system TIA and the insurance products, as well as related applications and platforms.

Your agile team has, in addition to the facilitating and supportive role to the other teams in the domain, among other things the responsibility to effectuate and coordinate cross-cutting testing and deployment of TIA releases to production, improve existing processes, and ensure an overview of cross-cutting deliverables.

You can otherwise expect to have to

• Work with tests in the architecture's front- and back-end
• Identify test needs based on a risk-based approach
• Identify and document test requirements and test cases
• Configure/program test scripts
• Build automated tests across platforms
• Code small components and helper tools
• Join in collaboration around execution of both automated and manual regression testing for cross-cutting releases

About you

You are analytically strong and capable of identifying causes of complex faults across systems and are not afraid to take the lead. You have a pragmatic approach to solutions, with a simultaneous focus on quality being paramount. You are curious and interested in learning new technologies, and a pronounced team player.

We expect that you have a relevant technical education, and a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Test/Automation Engineer. You have a clear understanding of the connection between people, processes and technology, as well as one or more certifications in software testing, preferably ISTQB. If you have experience from the insurance industry, that is an extra plus.

Furthermore we want you to have experience with

• Technologies and tools, such as API tests and Selenium for automating web applications
• Test frameworks, such as Provar, Katalon Studio, SOAPUI, PyTest or similar
• SQL and PLSQL for data handling and test scripting
• Git and collaboration in branch-based development flows
• Programming or scripting, e.g. Java or Python, TIA, Oracle and/or Salesforce
• ITIL practices and agile methods/frameworks, such as Scrum, SAFe or other
