About the job
In our contact class in primary school, we are looking for you, a pedagogue, who can be the through-line in the children's day. You are present in both the classroom and in the after-school program, because you know that children need adults who know them, their patterns, and their energy throughout the day.
Your coming everyday life in the contact class The contact classes are a designated offering in Holbæk Municipality for children with various challenges. You can read more about the contact classes here .
In our contact classes at Tuse School there are few students and always two adults. Your task will be to support the teaching, the relationships, as well as the children's development and well-being.
We are looking for you who show up with calm, clear boundaries, and a good amount of patience – even on days when plans need to be adjusted along the way.
Afternoon in FFO When the school day ends you accompany the children in FFO, which is the contact classes’ leisure program, part of the SFO. FFO has its own room where the children can retreat, but in addition the children from the contact class participate on equal footing with the other children in the SFO and take part in activities, workshops, traditions, and more.
In FFO, your task is to collaborate with the rest of the SFO staff to create a nice leisure offering. It’s about activities, but also that there are frames that support the children from the contact class in their well-being.
The position is 34 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours.
Become part of our community You will become part of our team around the contact classes, where we laugh, brainstorm, and help each other.
We believe that children learn best when they are met with warmth and clear adults – and that also applies to colleagues among themselves. You will become part of a team with different competencies, but the common trait is that the colleagues are structured and ambitious and therefore also have expectations of you.
It should be fun to go to work, and we care that you also want to contribute to the adult community, because we believe it has a positive spillover on the children.
Who are you? You are a trained pedagogue, and we hope you are the type who
- are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- are interested in learning and schoolwork, and that you have experience with and can exercise clear and affirming classroom management
- can follow our fundamental view that we should be good at understanding the child's perspective, and will engage in inclusive work with this
- know that there are many different ways to learn, and you work to ensure all children become part of an inclusive community
- are IT savvy, and can handle the different platforms and programs we work in
Who are we? Tuse School is a vibrant school with 600 children and 45 adults. We are part of Tuse and Udby School with shared leadership, cross-curricular professional development, and a strong culture with good traditions. We focus on classroom management, and we believe children learn best when they are met with curiosity, clarity, and warmth – and that also applies to the adults. What unites both departments is that we are closely connected to the local community.
In addition, we have a common goal of creating the Children's School, where the children's voices and perspectives are included as much as possible according to their age.
