About us

We are physically located at the headquarters of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization in Ballerup and function as the local IT department, supporting about 1700 users daily with IT Support.

We are an IT department consisting of a manager, five IT specialists and six IT support apprentices, of which you will be one IT support apprentice. As our IT support apprentice you will follow a trained colleague, but there will be professional sparring with everyone.

You will become part of a team where we place emphasis on professional and personal development. With us there is a high degree of freedom. In addition, we are a department where smiles, good humor and skilled colleagues shape our everyday life.

About the training

You will alternate between teaching at a vocational school and internship at your service location in Ballerup so that you acquire the practical skills and professional competencies required to become an IT Supporter.

You will join the local support team, where we provide daily support – both in the service desk, by phone and on-site, perform troubleshooting, prepare hardware, user administration and much more. We always focus on giving our customers the best support so they can do their work. In the beginning the focus will be on training with a view to you eventually being able to work independently with support, troubleshooting and preparations/installations.

After completing the apprenticeship with us, you will be equipped to

• Contribute to a better task solution and thereby create progress
• Show character, take initiative and responsibility for your own tasks and workday
• Support users and configure equipment independently

About you

Our expectations of you as a future apprentice are that you have completed the Danish primary school 9th/10th grade exam. It is also a requirement that you have at least completed Foundation Course 2 in the Data and Communications Education with a satisfactory result or do so before employment.

We expect you to be reliable, to show responsibility and motivation and to place emphasis on quality in your task solving.

As a person you are friendly and welcoming. You are service-minded, curious, engaged and initiative-taking, and you enjoy collaborating with others – both colleagues and customers.

You want to become a skilled IT-supporter who always solves tasks with service-mindedness and conscientiousness.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector Area (OAO-S collective agreement) and the Craftsmen and Technicians Agreement.

For you who are under 25 years old, your starting salary will be calculated based on any prior education and experience, but will be at minimum 13,307.42 DKK per month. If you are 25 or older, your salary is 22,706.53 DKK per month. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

As an employee under the Defence Ministry’s area you are subject to some special terms. You must be able to obtain a security clearance, and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

The workplace is in Ballerup.

You, as an employee, are obliged to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace making, humanitarian and other similar operations.
