About the job

Do you want to help shape the procurement and purchasing framework for one of Denmark's most unique cultural institutions? Are you motivated by translating rules and laws into concrete solutions and advising colleagues in an organization where no day is the same?

At The Royal Danish Theatre you will have the opportunity to work with many different procurements and tenders that take into account both the artistic interests and the theatre's daily operations. If yes, The Royal Danish Theatre is looking for a tender consultant who can assist us with purchasing and tendering.

The Royal Danish Theatre buys goods and services in a wide range from costumes, set design and props for the performances to communications, marketing as well as goods for the theatre's own cafe and bars in the food & beverage area, musical instruments and IT equipment and services.

You primarily have a passion for public procurement. As a tender consultant, you will be responsible for guiding our colleagues through tender matters, working with governance and controlling of our contract portfolio.

We are not a completely normal workplace and the tasks are never the same. You will become an important part of a small team where your role primarily involves working with the tendering aspects in relation to purchasing and procurement.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Provide legal advice on the tendering and purchasing area, including advice on tender rules and conditions.
  • Carry out legal assessments of issues under procurement law, e.g., preparing tender legal notes.
  • Conduct tenders, including market dialogues and studies, and prepare tender materials
  • Help colleagues with the purchasing process, including guidance on the government purchasing cascade, and assist with market dialogue during bid solicitations.
  • Contract responsible for SKI agreements

We imagine that you

  • Have relevant higher education, e.g., cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or cand.scient.pol.
  • Have experience with public procurement and tenders, including the government purchasing cascade
  • Can articulate clearly in writing and orally and tailor your communication to the recipient.
  • Are good at establishing relationships and meeting people with a collaborative and inclusive approach. Have a good overview and are used to prioritizing tasks and ensuring progress in processes and task completion
  • Thrive in working with many collaboration interfaces

It is advantageous if you

  • Have experience with project management.
  • Have experience purchasing in a dynamic procurement system on SKI and using Ethics and udbud.dk
  • Have experience with EU procurement and the light regime
  • Have worked with contract management

What do we offer?

The position is located in the Tendering and Purchasing Department, which is part of the Finance and IT office. We are in the process of building our department so we can support and assist our employees around the theatre when tenders are to be conducted, agreements are entered into and SKI agreements are handled, as well as many other tasks.

You will have your office at Kongens Nytorv and will be part of a workplace that certainly cannot be found anywhere else in the country. You will become part of a living and innovative universe where the physical premises are in place.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment and remuneration are according to qualifications and in line with the applicable collective agreement for academics in the state.

Application deadline is 31 October 2026.

Expected start is 1 January 2027

Please note that a child welfare clearance will be obtained, and you are requested to consent for this based on the letter you receive via eBoks.
