The VVS energy education seeks a vocational teacher with specialist competencies

Would you like to use your experience as a plumbing installer or plumber to educate the next generation – and at the same time achieve a more flexible work life?

We are seeking a specialist with experience in gas, cooling or advanced energy technology.

At Techcollege we are seeking a vocational teacher for the VVS program, where we educate the future skilled workers in energy, installation, ventilation and sheet metal, and we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about their trade and about passing it on.

The position is desired to be filled on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

The VVS education at Techcollege

We have four specialties in the program, and you can teach across – depending on what you are strongest in:

• Energy Specialist – focus on heat, climate, energy and sustainable solutions
• Installation Technician – classic VVS work with water, drainage, gas and sanitation
• Ventilation Technician – everything within air, indoor climate and ventilation systems
• Sheet Metal Worker – roof and facade work, zinc, copper and design in metal

Teaching is practical, and you rarely stand alone – there are always colleagues to brainstorm with, and you receive good support when you learn how to teach. So it is not a requirement that you have taught before.

We would like you to

• be educated as a VVS installer – this is a big advantage but not a requirement, or that you have a background as a VVS professional with another higher education or broad experience from the industry
• have experience with cooling or gas
• enjoy teaching others, collaborating and motivating the students
• have an interest in planning and delivering teaching – it is not a requirement that you have taught before.
• be curious and open to taking a pedagogical education (we will provide it).

Salary and terms of employment

It is a permanent position of 37 hours per week, with start date 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

Your primary place of work will be Techcollege, Øster Uttrup Vej 1, 9000 Aalborg.

Employment and remuneration are based on qualifications and in accordance with the Ministry of Education circular no. 101 of 1 February 2007 on terms of employment for civil-service-like employees at institutions for vocational education and catering departments.

The position includes a two-year probationary period in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Notice no. 101 of 01.02.2007. Applicants without pedagogical education must complete a pedagogical diploma training no later than 4 years after appointment. Techcollege pays for the training.
