The Youth Unit is looking for a colleague for a new municipal STU offer

The political level in Ringsted Municipality has decided to establish a new municipal STU offer with a particular focus on clarifying the youths' employment/education opportunities in the local area’s companies.

The offer will be established in continuation of our already existing offer, Next Level, which is an approximately 1-year guidance upskilling program for young people who require a very special and individually tailored effort.

About the job

Your tasks

• to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group-based learning and development programs for STU students.
• to support the youths' personal, social and academic development based on each young person’s goals and prerequisites.
• to establish and maintain collaboration with local companies with a view to internships, job clarification and development of employability competencies.
• to closely follow the youths in internship and company placements and ensure progression towards education, employment or another meaningful activity.
• to prepare goals, status descriptions and documentation of the youths' development and contribute to follow-ups and evaluations.
• to collaborate cross-disciplinary with colleagues, advisory authorities, relatives and external partners regarding the youth's overall effort.
• to contribute to the establishment, development and anchoring of Ringsted Municipality's new STU offer, including contributing ideas, methods and structure in a newly started organization.
• to actively participate in activities, teaching and communities that strengthen the youths' well-being, independence and life mastery.

Who are you

• You are a trained teacher, pedagogue or have a professional education with pedagogical specialisation.
• You should be able to plan and structure, but at the same time be able to cope with some days being unpredictable.
• It would be an advantage if you already have experience in the STU area.
• You should have a desire for and flair for written work, as documentation of the youths' development is an essential part of the job.
• You should be prepared for occasional activities that require presence beyond ordinary working hours.

Department

The Youth Unit in Ringsted Municipality brings together employment, education and specialized interventions for youths aged 15 to 29 into one cross-disciplinary organization. The aim is to support young people in achieving education, employment and as much independence as possible through a holistic and coordinated effort.

We work from the principle that the young person should experience a single, integrated effort across disciplines. Therefore, collaboration, relationships and strong transitions are central elements in our daily work. The organization includes both authority, employment, guidance and execution functions, which provides good opportunities for cross-disciplinary sparring and joint solutions around the individual youth.
