About the job
Are you looking for a job as an on-call relief worker? Then read more about what we can offer you
We are seeking new colleagues. You must be a trained nurse, social and health care assistant, a nursing student at minimum 3rd semester or a social and health care assistant trainee, preferably with completed psychiatry internship.
Perhaps you already know psychiatry, perhaps you don't. The most important thing is that you are curious about the specialty and have a basic understanding and interest in our patient group.
With us you are involved in helping some of the most vulnerable people in society, during difficult periods of their lives. You follow the patient closely and have a view for challenges, opportunities and hope for the individual.
Employees describe their workplace as follows
”It is positive that we are so many different professional groups and that our experience spans a wide range. Good with wide age range and both genders.”
”One must want to make a difference for patients in their life crisis.”
Our team is broadly composed of different professional groups; in total we are 26 colleagues waiting for you. Daily management is handled by a head nurse and a chief physician.
Section SL4 is a ward with room for 17 patients, of which eight beds are designated for patients with affective disorders.
In the treatment offer we actively work with, among other things
- Involving the patient in care and treatment
- Aiming to work according to environmental therapeutic principles
- Exercise as part of the activity offer/treatment
- Psychoeducation, for both inpatients and their relatives
- Safeward
- Reduction of coercion
As a new member here, we focus on getting you started well and guiding you through.
You will become part of Psychiatry West under Mid and West Zealand Hospital
An organization in development with about 520 employees. In the West there are main functions for adults over 17 years in relation to acute reception, 24/7, and outpatient functions. Psychiatry West also has special functions within the treatment of affective states, traumatized refugees, PTSD and oligophrenia. We have a Fusion Clinic/Steno diabetes-psychiatry unit and work especially closely with Holbæk and Slagelse hospitals.
Psychiatry West has its own research unit with a professor of clinical pharmacology and several PhD students. In addition, we participate in many projects aimed at ensuring closer cooperation with our municipalities and police. We work purposefully to reduce the use of coercion, and collaboration with somatic care is also important here. Our wish is for psychiatry with a focus on recovery, involvement of patients and networks, high professional standards, ethics, and education.
In addition, the goal is to create the best possible learning environments for our various education programs for doctors, nurses, social- and health care assistants, etc., as well as ensure a healthy and safe working environment for patients and staff.
