About the job
Do you have an eye for detail and a desire to work with authority tasks in an international context? As an inspector at the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration you become a specialist in inspection of import and export of fish and fish products.
Together with your colleagues you help ensure that applicable rules are followed, and that illegal fishing does not find its way to the European market.
About the job
You will primarily handle tasks related to checking certificates in connection with import and export of fish and fish products, also called IUU control (Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing). IUU is rules adopted by the EU to prevent import of fish and fish products caught illegally.
The certificates are received electronically and primarily checked in the EU system Catch. In addition you will participate in other control and administrative tasks, which are solved at the location. An important part of the job is also dialogue with importers and forwarding agents, which you will be in contact with by telephone and email.
FødevareNord covers a large geographic area and has responsibility for nationwide export control with IUU. You will therefore have a close collaboration with colleagues in both Aarhus and Aalborg, who work with the same tasks.
