Hourly-paid substitute for the kitchen at the Sølund care home

Perfect student job for the kitchen at Madam Blå at the Sølund nursing home. We are looking for a practical and engaged substitute, primarily for shifts on weekends, holidays and public holidays.

Madam Blå is an organic kitchen where season, taste and quality are in focus. We produce freshly cooked, good everyday meals 365 days a year. Our elderly food is characterized by being 'grandma food with an edge'.

The work will mainly consist of plating open-faced sandwiches, cleaning and doing the dishes as well as peeling, slicing and chopping in our vegetable department. You will work together with the other permanent staff in the kitchen.

We prepare food for 220 residents spread over four sites and for our cozy café. In addition, we prepare food for many events and service to our administration.

We are 14 employees consisting of bakers, cooks, nutrition assistants, a team leader, trainees and unskilled workers.

• are engaged and responsible regarding production
• are good at collaborating.

An ambitious house with focus on quality, development and aesthetics

As a kitchen we are ambitious, and we see it as our foremost task to create good and tasty food for all Sølund's residents, external customers and guests in the café. We follow the City of Copenhagen's goals on ecology and 'the good meal'. Therefore we make most of our food from scratch. We have an organic percentage of 90% and have the organic eating mark in gold.

We go to great lengths to ensure that residents and guests have a good experience at every meal, and at the meal we consider all facets – both the taste and texture of the food as well as the atmosphere and the social aspects. The meal is therefore a central and continuous focus for the whole house, where we both follow and contribute to the development of new trends in elder food. We also want to continue having a creative approach to our production. Therefore there should be room to experiment and work on side projects such as pickling and canning.

We are a smoke-free workplace, and it is therefore not allowed to smoke during working hours.

Wage and employment terms

The position is paid hourly and the shifts are planned in the time frame 07:00-14:30. We hope you can start as soon as possible. Wage and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement. When employed we will request a criminal record certificate.

If you are considered for a position in the municipality, we will check whether you have been dismissed or suspended from the municipality within the last three years and share relevant information herewith the hiring manager.
