About the job
Do you want to help create the best start to school life for our youngest students? Do you have a playful and experimental approach to learning, and are you passionate about close pedagogical collaboration? Then you have the chance to become one of our two new colleagues at Bundgaardsskolen!
Both positions are full-time roles at 37 hours per week with commencement on 1 December.
Bundgaardsskolen is a new school (established summer 2024) in lovely green surroundings in Aalborg Øst. We are UNICEF Rights School, where the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child forms the framework for our community, values and view of children.
We prioritise co-teaching arrangements in Danish and mathematics and a strong professional learning environment through Professional Learning Communities (PLF). In the early years we always have two adults in the classes.
In total we create safe and development-promoting environments every day for about 650 pupils and 120 engaged staff.
About the positions and the role
As a kindergarten class leader you will have the academic and pedagogical responsibility for one of our three kindergarten classes. You will carry out the task in a close and committed partnership with the class's assigned teaching assistant.
As a kindergarten class leader you have the professional and didactic responsibility to plan and deliver the teaching in one of our three kindergarten classes. Building on the Preschool Class's Common Goals you work holistically with the six competency areas ( Language, Mathematical awareness, Natural science phenomena, Creative expressions, Body & movement, and Engaged learning and community ).
You will ensure that play remains the primary approach to learning, with teaching planned in an investigative, sensorimotor and experimental way. The role is performed in a close and committed partnership with the class's assigned teaching assistant and in close collaboration with the other kindergarten class leaders in the year group.
