Two guitar teachers. Two fathers. Same parental leave period. Help!

Something quite fantastic is happening in the guitar department at Kulturskolen Hedensted. Two of our male guitar teachers are going on parental leave at the same time. We are happy for them, but it also means we need to cover what totals seven days of teaching per week for a period from January 10, 2027 and about three months forward. The teaching includes both acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukulele and bass. There is also the possibility to run ensemble groups and teaching in our Kulturklasser. You will become part of an engaged guitar subject group and a strong collegial community.

Can you only teach one or two days a week? Then apply anyway. We are open to assembling the substitute between several teachers, so we find the best possible solution for both students and teachers.

About the job and tasks

For us it is not so important whether your musical background is classical, rhythmic or a combination of both. The most important is that you want to share your joy of music with children, young people and adults, and that you meet the students with curiosity, engagement and professionalism.

We imagine that you are broadly grounded both musically, pedagogically and personally, and that you thrive in creating relationships and development through teaching. Experience with teaching is an advantage, but we are just as interested in hearing what you can contribute as a teacher and colleague.

You will become part of a dedicated community where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. We collaborate both across Kulturskolen’s subject areas and with the municipality’s primary schools, among other things through our Kulturklasser. Therefore we hope that you want to be an active team player in them.

Since teaching takes place in several locations in the municipality, it is necessary that you have access to a car.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate qualification- and function-based pay.

The position can be 7-35 weekly hours, depending on your qualifications, and can be shared between several candidates.

Start on January 10, 2027 and about three months forward.

Kulturskolen Hedensted is a cultural institution offering teaching in music, visual arts, dance and performing arts. We are a total of 21 staff at Kulturskolen. We are a decentral cultural school with teaching at 15 schools in the municipality. Kulturskolen develops social interaction, collaboration and ensemble playing - with students’ musical, creative, social and learning development as guiding principles.
