About the job
Combine the present discussions about individual birth plans with baseline consultation and work on the maternity ward and/or the postpartum ward. We are seeking two midwives who together will form our new birth plan team – one with consultations in Greve and one in Roskilde.
At SUH Roskilde we are passionate about creating safe, cohesive and individually tailored pathways. We want to improve health equity and contribute to the creation of healthy and competent families. Now we are looking for two colleagues who will help lift this task with a special focus on birth plans.
The offer of a birth plan consists of a series of conversations with a birth plan midwife and is aimed at women with previous traumatizing experiences, birth anxiety and/or a desire for elective cesarean on maternal indication.
A position with both depth and broad midwifery professionalism
As part of the birth plan team you will have the opportunity to use your professional and relational skills in conversations with pregnant women who need an individual plan for their birth. You shall together with the pregnant woman and possibly her partner explore wishes, concerns and past experiences and contribute to a plan that creates security and a common direction for the course.
The position combines
- Birth plan consultation in either Greve or Roskilde
- General midwifery consultation with your own pregnant women at the same site
- The rest of the working time on the maternity ward and/or postpartum ward, in mixed shifts distributed over the day and working every 3rd weekend
You thereby get the opportunity to delve into conversations and planning, while maintaining broad clinical professionality and close contact with the work the birth plans are intended to support.
A team where you use each other
The two birth plan midwives will form a team with close professional sparring and shared responsibility for developing the function. You will each have your own consultation site, but together you shall create a common approach to birth plan work and contribute to coherence between consultation and maternity ward.
One participates in alternating vulnerable team meetings with opportunities for sparring with the family clinic and psychiatry regarding vulnerable families.
Birth plan work is carried out in collaboration with the department's doctors, so the pregnant woman's wishes and needs are included in a joint, professionally founded birth plan.
A workplace with professionalism and community
With us you will find variety in the work life and opportunities to unfold your professionalism within both normal and more complex obstetrics. We are large enough for you to develop specialist knowledge, and small enough that close collegial relationships and a strong community shape everyday life.
We create together a workplace characterized by community, shared responsibility and integrity. We cherish good collegiality and work with team structures so you have colleagues to support you, spar with you and develop together.
We can offer you
- A close collaboration with another birth plan midwife
- A combination of birth plan consultation, ordinary consultation and clinical shifts
- Strong professionalism and cross-disciplinary cooperation characterized by mutual respect
- An individual onboarding process with support for a good start
- Presence and trust-based leadership
- Shift planning with focus on a sustainable midwife life
We wish that you
- Have an interest in birth plan work, pregnant women with special needs and individually tailored pathways
- Are a good listener and can create trust and security in the conversation
- Can translate the pregnant woman's wishes and needs into a clear and professionally founded birth plan
- Enjoy close interdisciplinary collaboration, professional sparring and joint development of cohesive pathways
- Contribute to a good working environment and take shared responsibility for the department's overall task
Onboarding
We are proud of our onboarding program that focuses on you and a good start, whether you are a new graduate or experienced.
We arrange an individual onboarding process, which includes introduction to specific tasks, meetings with relevant parties and specific introduction to the departments that make sense regarding your desired areas of work.
About the department
