Two project managers for construction projects

Can you manage civil engineering projects safely from planning to completed facility – and foster a good collaboration among the people who need to make them succeed?

Then you may be one of our two new project managers in Project & Supervision.

Kalundborg is in rapid development and home to one of Denmark's strongest industrial environments. At Kalundborg Forsyning we play a central role in this development by delivering and developing the critical infrastructure that both citizens and businesses depend on.

We are looking for two project managers who will take responsibility for construction and supply projects within water, wastewater and heating. You will have the opportunity to apply your professional expertise to both smaller, operation-oriented projects and larger strategic investments.

We place foremost emphasis on your ability to lead construction projects and get people to work well together. You have control of the project framework, follow up and create momentum. At the same time you know that a good result requires clear agreements, trust and respect for the different disciplines surrounding the project.

You follow the projects through to completion

As a project manager you drive your projects from the initial planning to completion and handover to operations. You keep an overview of time, economy, quality and risks and ensure that the right people are involved at the right times.

Among your main tasks are to

• Plan and carry out construction projects with clear goals, realistic timelines and ongoing financial follow-up.
• Coordinate the collaboration between consultants, contractors, authorities and colleagues across the organization.
• Follow up on quality, manage risks and take initiative when the project conditions change.
• Ensure a good dialogue with operations throughout the project and a handover that meets the agreed needs and expectations.
• Contribute to shared working methods and share experiences so we become even better at delivering our projects.

You will have a high degree of independence in task solving and colleagues to bounce ideas off when you need an expert perspective or help with a challenge.

You have construction-technical overview and are good with people

We imagine you have experience with project management of construction projects and a relevant technical background. You know the relationship between planning, design and execution and can translate that knowledge into good management in practice. Experience from the supply sector is an advantage.

You work in a structured and thorough way and use facts and analyses to make decisions. You can maintain an overview, prioritize and move the project forward, even when unforeseen circumstances arise.

Your social skills are just as essential. You listen, communicate clearly and build trustful relationships. You can bring together people with different perspectives around a common task and have the necessary conversations when interests or expectations do not align.

We are seeking two colleagues for the same project manager role. You do not need to have identical experiences, but both should be keen to take responsibility for construction projects and contribute to a strong professional and social community.

You will become part of Project & Supervision, which consists of 12 project managers and 2 supervisors. We work with planning, design, execution, construction management and supervision within water, wastewater and district heating.

We are in the process of strengthening our project work through a new strategy, common project model, consistent tools and more knowledge sharing. Here you will have the opportunity to both use your experiences and contribute to developing the way we work.
