Transport dispatcher for HV transport, Herning

We are looking for you who thrive when the phone rings, and you should use your strong overview to coordinate the best solutions.

A workday with lots of coordination

You will be responsible for our container and crane/grab department, where we have 9 trucks, 7 container trucks and 2 crane trucks.

You will work closely with our TIP department, which has a further 9 trucks and additionally hires in 15-30 trucks as needed. We work closely across departments, and we see ourselves as one united team that helps each other when it’s busy.

You will be on the phone a lot during the day, so if you get stressed by a phone ringing many times and having many tasks in progress at the same time, this job might not be for you.

You are the one who makes things come together

Customers call in when they need to order a container or have a crane/grab task. Your job is to figure out exactly what the customer needs, ask the right questions and give them the best solution.

That means, among other things, that you

• receive customer orders and identify the need
• plan and coordinate the vehicles and find the right driver for the right task
• prioritize the day’s tasks
• send tasks out via our system/app or contact the drivers directly
• work closely with the drivers and your colleagues
• ensure that customers get what they have ordered – at the agreed time
• think in terms of customer service, efficiency and economy.

You don’t need to know everything from day one

The container and crane/grab area requires specialized knowledge, and we do not expect you to have it beforehand. The most important thing is that you are curious, want to delve into things and gradually gain the professional understanding that enables you to ask the right questions and make good decisions.

You will work with both private and business customers, who are contractors, construction sites, farmers and other companies that need container and crane/grab solutions.

That means days and tasks can be very different.

We have good systems to help you, and of course you will get help from your colleagues. You will therefore not be left alone.

• are eager to take responsibility and perhaps, in time, develop into the head of the department.

You may well have experience from transport, dispatching or logistics, but it is not a requirement.
