About the job

Would you like to help create a new residential offer and make your mark on professionalism, culture, and workflows from the very beginning?

Do you thrive in relationship-based work, professional responsibility, and a daily life where you, together with the citizens, create structure, stability, and new opportunities?

Then you may be one of our three new social educators at Solbækken.

We are looking for three social educators for permanent full-time positions in our new residential offer under the Welfare Act §§ 107 and 108.

Help create Solbækken

Solbækken is a new residential offer with four places for adults with mental health difficulties, mental vulnerability, social hardship, and reduced everyday functioning. The citizens have a need for a stable living environment and a coherent social-pedagogical effort that is more extensive than the support that can be offered in their own home.

As a social educator you will be part of the team that will build Solbækken and create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the citizens. You will therefore have the opportunity to shape both the professional practice, the way of cooperation, and the culture at the new offer.

A social-pedagogical everyday life close to the citizens

Citizens may, among other things, have difficulties structuring daily life, maintaining housing, entering into relationships, and managing everyday life conditions. Some may also have a limited network, mild cognitive vulnerabilities, problematic use of substances, or hoarding behavior.

Solbækken is not a treatment or addiction service, but it collaborates with relevant external services when the citizen needs treatment.

The work is based on each individual citizen's hopes, wishes, resources, and goals. You must be able to support, motivate, and create structure – and at the same time give the citizen the opportunity to develop their own skills and take greater responsibility for their life.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Build stable and trusting relationships with the citizens.
  • Support structure, everyday functioning, social relationships, and participation in communities.
  • Observe and respond professionally to changes in the citizens' well-being and support needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, authorities, treatment psychiatry, and other partners.
  • Document the efforts and work systematically with goals and progression in KMD Nexus.

Our professional foundation

At Solbækken we work in a recovery-oriented, rehabilitative, and relationship-based way. We meet the citizen as a person with their own experiences, resources, and possibilities, and we emphasize safety, continuity, and influence over their own life.

We work, among other things, with Motivational Interviewing, social skills training, harm reduction, and support for hoarding behavior. The methods are applied flexibly and based on each citizen's situation.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant social work education, for example as a pedagog.
  • Have experience with or an interest in social psychiatry and working with people in vulnerable positions.
  • Are calm, clear, and persistent and can create structure without taking over the citizen's responsibility.
  • Can work independently and at the same time contribute actively to the professional community.
  • Can keep an overview in complex situations and adapt support to the individual citizen.

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience with citizens with mental and psychosocial difficulties.
  • Have knowledge of recovery-oriented rehabilitation.
  • Have experience with MI, social skills training, harm reduction, or support for hoarding behavior.
  • Have experience with documentation and targeted follow-up on social-professional interventions.
  • Have knowledge of KMD Nexus.

About us

Solbækken will become part of Disability and Social Psychiatry in Solrød Municipality. You will be part of both the new team at Solbækken and a larger social-professional environment with experience within social psychiatry, residential care, and social-pedagogical support.

We place emphasis on integrity, professional reflection, and a strong collegial community. With us there should be room for different perspectives, open dialogue, and humor – even when tasks are complex.

We offer

  • Opportunity to help build a new residential offer.
  • Influence on the offer's professional practice, culture, and workflows.
  • A meaningful and varied job close to the citizens.
  • A strong professional community with opportunities for sparring, supervision, and competence development.
  • Engaged colleagues and a short path from idea to action.

Salary and employment terms

This is a permanent full-time position.

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local wage formation with the possibility of negotiation based on qualifications. The salary range is 29,500 – 40,300 DKK depending on education, qualifications, and experience. Pension is included.

The work is planned according to the citizens' needs, and there may therefore be work at different times, including evenings and weekends.
